GOP hopeful, Ted Cruz has dropped out of the presidential race after suffering a loss to Donald Trump at the Indiana Primary on Tuesday, May 3, 2016.
Trump had earlier expressed confidently that he will be winning be in Indiana.
Cruz while speaking to Washington post said:
Republican National Committee Chairman, Reince Priebus then announced on Twitter that Trump will now be the presumptive GOP nominee."I’ve said that I would continue on as long as there is a viable path to victory. Tonight, I’m sorry to say it appears that path has been foreclosed. We gave it everything we’ve got. But the voters chose another path. And so with a heavy heart – but with boundless optimism, for the long-term future of our nation – we are suspending our campaign."
