People Magazine names Jennifer Aniston as World's Most Beautiful Woman 2016

Hollywood Actress, Jennifer Aniston has been named as the Most Beautiful Woman in the World 2016. According to People Magazine, when she first heard the news that she was being named the Most Beautiful Woman in the World, she reacted saying, "I thought, 'Oh my God,' There was this sort of very excited, teenage-y kind of moment."

Indian father chops off hands of teenager who raped his 8-month-old daughter (photos)

The father of an eight-month-old rape victim allegedly chopped off both hands of the 17-year-old accused in Punjab's Bathinda district, India on Tuesday, April 19.

Parminder Singh had allegedly raped the man’s 7-month-old daughter in April 2014 and was arrested and arraigned in court. The victim's father and the accused, who were neighbours, met in court for the hearing yesterday and after that, the victim’s father reportedly asked Parminder to reach a compromise and accompany him on his motorcycle to the village.

When they reached near Jhumba village, he allegedly tied the teenager to a tree and attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon. Besides inflicting injuries on his head and other parts of his body, the man chopped off both his hands, said police.

Some villagers rushed Parminder to the Bathinda civil hospital, where his condition was stated to be critical. Dr Ajay Gupta, who treated the victim, said both his hands were chopped off and cops brought the limbs later.

"He (the father) took him near a dried up canal, beat him up badly and then tied him to a tree and finall hacked his hands off. There is nothing below the wrists now," Swapan Sharma, a police officer of Bathinda, told AFP by telephone.

"Locals alerted the police and we rushed to the spot. We picked him up, his hands, and took him to the hospital," Sharma added.

According to Indian Express, the mother of the baby had allegedly found the accused molesting her child in April 2014. Police registered a rape case and the teen was sent to a juvenile remedial home pending trial.

The police said a case of attempted murder has been registered against the victim’s father, a brick kiln labourer, who fled after the incident.

11 people arrested after a young lady was subjected to a three-hour gang rape in Bluewater shopping centre, UK

The victim who is in her 20s says she was attacked by seven men while she was waiting for a bus after shopping for mother's day on March 6th. She was allegedly bundled into a van and raped severally by the men for three hours. The sexual assault is believed to have happened in a car park at Bluewater in Kent, formerly Britain's largest shopping centre

A police spokesman said:

“As part of ongoing inquiries, 11 arrests have been made in connection with the investigation.”The attack is said to have happened on Mother’s Day, March 6. All those arrested have been bailed while inquiries continue.

A spokesman for Bluewater said:

"Kent Police is investigating an incident that took place in a Bluewater car park on March 6."From day one this has been a police matter and therefore we can’t and don’t comment on an ongoing investigation.

“The safety and wellbeing of our staff and guests is our highest priority.

"Bluewater’s security procedures are regularly reviewed and tested, and we have a 24 hour security team and dedicated onsite Kent police officers.

"As well as extensive CCTV across the whole of Bluewater, our car parks are patrolled and we have security vehicles that provide a further visible presence."

Singer Nicole Scherzinger breaks up with her tennis player boyfriend for refusing to settle down

The 37 year old singer allegedly ended her relationship with her Bulgarian boyfriend who is 13 years her junior, after he refused to settle down. Nicole was first linked to Grigor back in November last year, but their relationship became public January this year after they were spotted kissing at a tennis tournament in Australia. After few months of dating, the pair have reportedly split up after Nicole made it clear that she wanted to settle down and start a family, apparently Grigor wasn't ready.

A source told TheSunUK:

“Nicole is at a different stage in life to Grigor. She really likes him but wants to settle down - something he’s not quite ready for.

It’s the situation she had with Lewis, which is why that relationship stalled. She’s aware she is not getting any younger and wants kids."

Nicole split from Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton in January last year after a seven year on/off relationship. Their disagreements over settling down and having children is said to have led to their break up.

Nicki Minaj's brother indicted for child rape

According to court records, Nicki Minaj's brother Jelani Maraj has officially been indicted for allegedly raping a a 12-year-old girl repeatedly. This recent development proves a grand jury found enough evidence to charge Jelani with the crime.
The legal docs reveal on April 4 Maraj was formally indicted with felony predatory sexual assault against a child, along with felony sexual conduct against a child under age 13, and sexual conduct against a child and endangering the welfare of a child.

If convicted, the 37-year-old could face between fifteen years to life in prison.

At the current time, Jelani is free on $100,000 dollar bail thanks to his mother. It also appears that all is cool between Minaj and her big brother considering they went on a family outing shortly after the horrific news broke

Openly gay pastor gets homophobic slur on his birthday cake (photo)

A Texas pastor named Jordan Brown is suing grocery chain, Whole Foods, after alleging that one of their employees wrote an anti-gay slur on his birthday cake.

In his lawsuit, Brown said he ordered the cake last Thursday and asked a bakery employee to write "Love Wins” on it, only for him to open his order and find “Love Wins F**got” instead.

“This is discrimination,” said the openly gay founder of the Church of Open Doors in a video posted online on Monday by his law firm, showing the cake...

European Union charges Google with abusing dominance of Android market

The European Union charged Google on Wednesday with abusing the dominant position of its Android mobile operating system, opening a second front against the U.S. technology giant that could lead to large fines.

European Union antitrust regulators said that by requiring mobile phone manufacturers to pre-install Google Search and the Google Chrome browser, the U.S. company was denying consumers a wider choice of mobile apps and stifling innovation.

Google is already facing EU charges over the promotion of its shopping service in Internet searches at the expense of rival services, in a case that has dragged on since late 2010 despite three attempts to resolve the issues.

The stakes are higher for Google in the Android case as it made about $11 billion last year from advertising sales on Android phones through its apps such as Maps, Search and Gmail, according to estimates by financial analyst Richard Windsor.
"A competitive mobile Internet sector is increasingly important for consumers and businesses in Europe," European Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager said in a statement.

"We believe that Google's behavior denies consumers a wider choice of mobile apps and services and stands in the way of innovation by other players," she said.

Internet Explorer-browser maker Microsoft Corp declined to comment.

Suppliers of browsers including Mozilla, which is behind Firefox, as well as Apple, with its Safari browser, and Norway's Opera Software were not immediately available to comment.

The European Commission said about 80 percent of smart mobile devices in Europe and the world run on Android, the operating system developed by Google.

Google, which has 12 weeks to respond to the charges, said in a statement that Android was a remarkable system based on open-source software and open innovation.

"We look forward to working with the European Commission to demonstrate that Android is good for competition and good for consumers," Google's general counsel Kent Walker said.

FairSearch, the lead complainant, said Google had launched Android as an open source project, but was now hindering the development of versions that might lead to new operating systems able to compete with Android.

The Commission alleges Google has breached EU antitrust rules by making phone manufacturers pre-install its search function and Chrome browser, and by preventing them from selling mobiles running competing operating systems based on the Android open source code.

The EU also charged the U.S company with giving financial incentives to manufacturers and network operators to pre-install Google Search exclusively on devices.

A group of Cameroonian journalists demand 50 million in bribes from Paul Biya

A group of Cameroonian journalist headed by Serge Sabouang wrote to Biya and his government demanding 50 million as "financial support for them to organise a round table and a match in favor of the candidacy of President Paul Biya in 2018"

The journalists presented themselves as a "coordination of Cameroon Editors" who want to maintain peace and stability in Cameroon by making sure Biya wins the elections.

The round table on the theme: "Paul Biya: The Challenge of Freedom of Information" will be followed by a march the group estimates about 10 000 participants will take part. Serge Sabouang and his group have considered printing 20 000 t-shirts at cost of 20 million CFA francs. While 20 million CFA will be set aside for refreshments and the rest of money will be used for advertising and banners.

Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton win big in New York primaries

U.S republican and Democratic party candidates Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton pulled a major upset last night as they won in the New York Primaries.

The significant win in New York, where both candidates have huge follower-ship and backing moves them closer to picking up the nomination tickets for their parties in the U.S Presidential elections.

As of 12 a.m. European Time, Trump held 847 delegates, while Ted Cruz had 553 and John Kasich had 148, according to a CNN estimate. A Republican candidate needs 1,237 delegates to clinch the nomination.

While Hilary Clinton was leading with 1,930 delegates including 1,443 pledged delegates and 487 super delegates. Sanders had a total of 1,223 delegates including 1,183 pledged delegates and 40 super delegates. A Democratic candidate needs 2,383 delegates to secure the nomination.

Speaking to supporters while she was applauded as Jayz/Alicia Keys song Empire state of Minds played in the background, Hilary Clinton said,

"We started this race not far from here on Roosevelt Island," Clinton said in her victory speech. "Andtonight, a little less than a year later, the race for the Democratic nomination is in the homestretch and victory is in sight."

While Trump boasted, " Senator Cruz was just about mathematically eliminated."

"We don't have much of a race anymore based on what am seeing on the television ,"

"We're going to go into the convention I think as the winner."

Texas waitress gets $1000 tip on $9 bill

An 18 year old waitress named Alesha Palmer received a $1000 tip from a customer eating alone at the Vetoni’s Italian Restaurant in Gun Barrel City, in Texas.

According to NBC Chicago, the high school senior told Tyler television station KLTV that she was serving a couple she knew last weekend and they asked about her college plans. She says she told them her parents would be helping her pay for it. Another customer who was seated nearby got up to leave and approached the restaurant owner.

She says after he left, she asked if everything was all right and her boss showed her the receipt with the huge tip from the man, who asked to remain anonymous. Alesha said she was so stunned by the gift she began crying in the middle of the restaurant...
