U.S. Rights groups sue over 'Muslim-free' Oklahoma gun range

Two U.S. activists groups filed a federal lawsuit on Wednesday against a rural Oklahoma gun range, arguing that it violated U.S. civil rights laws by posting a sign that said the business was "Muslim free" and barring a Muslim from shooting there.

The lawsuit by the Council on American-Islamic Relations Oklahoma Chapter and the American Civil Liberties Union of Oklahoma seeks to have the Save Yourself Survival and Tactical Gear store in Oktaha end what the plaintiffs said is blatant discrimination.

The gun store and range about 120 miles (190 km) east of Oklahoma City, posted a store window sign that reads: "This privately owned business is a Muslim Free establishment."
It has a posting on its Facebook page saying it will not allow media access or interviews.
The groups filed the lawsuit on behalf of Raja'ee Fatihah, a U.S. Army reservist and investigator for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, after he said he was kicked out of the range for being a Muslim.
Fatihah told a news conference on Wednesday he visited the gun range to talk with the owners about their fear of the Muslim faith. The owners asked him to leave, he said.
"Shooting is something I do as a hobby, and I also practice to keep up my skills as a reservist. When I went to the range, it went normally until I told them I was Muslim," said Fatihah.

New Pressure Group Demands Anglophones Education Council, Others

Prime Minister Philemon Yang
Prime Minister Philemon Yang
A new Anglophone pressure group, Cameroon Education Forum, CEF, has tabled a strongly worded memorandum to President Paul Biya, through the Prime Minister, for a more efficient and effective Anglo cultural sub-system of education.
A press release dated February 10, which accompanied the memorandum, sent to our newsroom, states that the memorandum was “ignited by the fact that, in spite of the plethora of memos and petitions that have been addressed to the government by various Anglophone individuals and organizations over the years, including the memorandum submitted by Anglophone members of parliament at the end of 2011, the government has never bothered to respond.”
CEF, comprising mostly of Anglophone teachers and legal minded Cameroonians made up of seasoned educationists, consultants, professional in various fields, opinion leaders as well as registered organizations in the likes of Teachers Association of Cameroon, TAC, Cameroon Teachers Trade Union, CATTU, Association of Retired Educationists of Cameroon, AREC, People Earth Wise, PEW, amongst others,  considers that provisions of the 1998 education law have since its enactment been either consistently violated, neglected or only partly  and partially implemented, to the detriment of the Anglophone sub-system of education. They suspected bad faith on the part of the Yaounde regime.
The members of the pressure group are aggrieved by the non-inclusion of Anglophones in administrative decision making positions. They cited the case where since the inception of the post of inspector general of services in the various education ministries, no Anglophone has held that post. Also, only one Anglophone has held the post of director of secondary education since 1961.
“No Anglophone has ever been minister of (national) education since 1961…Since 1972, only one Anglophone has held the post of director of primary, nursery and teacher education, appointed in 2013,” CEF officials stated amongst a plethora of grievances.
Against this backdrop, the pressure group wants two separate education councils to be created to reflect the bi-cultural reality of Cameroon. “ Separate councils would enable syllabus revision and updating, research and curricula development, the building of relevant educational structures and processes; these and others would be studied by persons belonging to, and versed with each particular sub-system,” CEF advanced. In addition, they advocate the creation of an English TV and Radio media channel for the English sub-cultural system as a corollary to the councils.
Also, the Anglophone educationists want an immediate end to aggravated inequality. They are calling on government to enact legislation that allows the inclusion of Anglophones, the minority group in the bi-cultural system.
In the 21-point memorandum, the concerned Anglophone teachers also insist certificates for Anglophone graduates from teacher training colleges should be issued in English, in respect of the education law which prescribes in sub-section 2 of section 15 that “the specific method of evaluation and certificate of each sub-system shall be preserved.”
On the issue of the Common law university syllabuses, CEF maintained that the ministry of higher education should abort arbitrary plans to dismantle the Common law system in the Anglophone sub-system of education.
The recent memorandum is coming on the heels of numerous moves by different groups towards an end to the marginalisation of Anglophones on all spheres of national life.
The memorandum was drafted amongst others by Azong Wara Andrew, Hon. Dr. Ayuk Arrey Peter, Hon. Tasi Ntang Lucas, Ntoko Ntube Wilfred, Atemnkeng Peter, Tassang Wilfred, Mbong Johannes Ngole, Shey Benjamin Serkfem, Ndifor Ferdinand, Nsoh Lawrence, Ekangaki Agbor, Ngan Sylvester, amongst others.

Cameroonian soldiers dance in Mabass, Cameroon, February 16, 2015. Cameroon says it has liberated a Nigerian Boko Haram stronghold, killing 162 militants.
Cameroon says it has liberated a Boko Haram stronghold in northeastern Nigeria, killing more than 150 militants and destroying weapons and bomb factories.
The Cameroonian military launched raids on Goshi in northeastern Nigeria, 15 km (9.3 miles) from the border with Cameroon, between February 11-14, according to the country’s Communications Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary,Voice of America reports. During the raids, 162 Boko Haram fighters were killed, four mine factories destroyed, a training center for militants set on fire and weapons seized, Bakary said, adding that Nigerian hostages were also freed.
Boko Haram has been suspected of carrying out attacks in Cameroon and other countries neighboring Nigeria in the Lake Chad region. Two female suicide bombers killed at least six people at a funeral on February 10 in the village of Nguetchewe, close to the Nigerian border. A quadruple suicide attack at a market in Cameroon’s Far North region in January killed around 25 people.
Cameroon has joined forces with Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Benin as part of an 8,700-strong Multi-National Joint Task Force, which was set up in March 2015 to improve regional coordination in fighting Boko Haram. In October of that year, U.S. President Barack Obama pledged a total of 300 military personnel to assist Cameroon in its efforts to stamp out the insurgency, which has claimed some 20,000 lives and displaced more than 2 million people since 2009.
Bakary said that the operation in Goshi was led by Cameroon and had been completed with the approval of Nigeria. Two Cameroonian soldiers were killed in the raids, Bakary said. Another two soldiers were killed on Sunday when their convoy hit a landmine as they returned to Cameroon from Goshi, according to General Jacob Kodji, who commands the Cameroonian troops in the area.

blackcouplehugging1-300x200

Here are 10 Unique “I Love You” Messages To send to your loved one
1. “I was lying in bed this morning, and I realized that I actually feel deeper for you now than I ever have before.”
Here, you’re setting your sentiment in a place and time, and that’s great for expressing deep adoration to your partner. They’ll be able to imagine you thinking this very thought, and it will make them feel very special … and probably drive them wild.
2. “I know you’re at work, but it’s been crazy today … I just can’t stop thinking about you and how lucky I am to have you in my life.”
When the butterflies are everywhere in a relationship, it’s obvious that you can’t stop thinking about your partner. So you can only assume that it’s the same for them. Now consider if you got a message like this one—wouldn’t it make you feel just great?
3. “We’re going to be together soon forever, but I just have to tell you now … even after all these years, I still get nervous before I see you.”
It’s so cute and adorable for anyone to see someone they’re into getting nervous about them. “Nervous about me!?” you think to yourself … This sentiment will make your sweetie feel 100 percent special on this special day.
4. “Sometimes I think about the fact that there is no way you will ever realize much I care about you.”
When you’ve been in a relationship for a while and maybe you have the house, the kids, the whole shebang life together … it can be hard to say “I love you” in a new way. But this text just admits the truth, and that’s really the best way to do it.
5. “Honestly, what are you doing to me? I literally haven’t been able to get you off my mind for the past week.”
Again, this is a great one for new relationships. And most likely, it is seriously true. Those first few weeks and months of a new relationship make you feel … nuts! So don’t deny it. Tell them!
6. “Every time I see you, I fall hard for you all over again.”
A great line for couples that have been together for a while, and if you’re still going strong, it’s probably very true. With that being said, sometimes we take feelings like this for granted and we shouldn’t. Tell your sweetheart how truly good they make you feel.
7. “Even though I’m ___ miles away from you, I feel like you’re here … because I simply cannot get you out of my mind.”
If you won’t be together for a while, that doesn’t mean you have to forget the beautiful sentiments behind this holiday. Express your love in a raw and honest way, and it will easily travel the distance between you two.
8. “I used to think that true love was just a fantasy, something you read about in books and see in movies. But the moment I met you, I realized all the hype was so very true. I can’t believe I found you.”
This is a great text for newlyweds or really anyone who has found their soul mate. It expresses the uniqueness you two have found in your union—something that was truly meant to be.
9. “I don’t even know who I was before I met you. You’ve changed my life for the better in ways you can’t imagine.”
Life can be busy, messy and complicated. But when you can take the time to send a heartfelt message like this, it lets your partner know that you’re always thinking about how lucky you are to have them in your life. It lets them know you don’t take them for granted.
10. “I know things between us have been rocky, but I realize today how desperately I want us to work out. You’re everything to me.“
It sounds crazy to a lot of couples at first, but it’s at this time—when there’s tension and fighting between you two—that text messages can make a gigantic difference for whether you make it or not.

Cameroon Lionesses Win Their First Ticket Ever To The Olympics

The Lionesses, as the volleyball players from Cameroon are known, booked their first ticket ever to the Olympic Games after a thrilling five-setter. This Tuesday evening, in Yaoundé, Cameroon’s capital, in front of 5,400 fans that packed the Palais des Sports, they beat Egypt 3-2 (25-14, 25-27, 21-25, 25-23, 15-7), in the final of the 2016 African Women’s Olympic Qualifier.

Part of the crowd went to the court right after the end of the 2h20min battle, to celebrate with the players, in a huge party, including some drums, Cameroon style.
Opposite Nana Tchoudjang was the best scorer for the Cameroonians, with 21 points, followed by middle blocker Stephanie Fotoso, with 19. Egyptian Aya El Shami, who scored 22, topped the game.
On Monday, in the semifinals, Egypt upset favourite Kenya in a two and half hour match by 3-2 (25-22, 24-26, 16-15, 25-20, 19-17), while the locals had an easy ride versus Algeria, winning in straight sets (25-20, 25-17, 25-17).
This is the fifth time an African women’s team participates at the women’s volleyball tournament in the Olympics. Kenya qualified for Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004. Algeria took part in Beijing 2008 and London 2012. The African men’s squads have played since Munich 1972.
The Cameroonian girls should not offer much resistance to their opponents in August at Maracanãzinho Arena, in Rio de Janeiro. Same way their men’s team, they are known for their cheerful celebration after rallies and their constant joy, aspects that caught the attention of the media during the 2014 Women’s World Championship, in Italy.
A dream come true
In an interview to CRTV, a local station, Nana Tchoudjang said this an old dream that finally came true. Cameroon’s coach, Jean René Akono, mentioned his squad fighting spirit and emphasized the qualities of the other semifinalists.
In the third place match, Kenya beat Algeria 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 26-24). Other three teams РBotswana, Tunisia and Uganda Рparticipated in this qualifier in Yaound̩.
Egypt and Kenya will join Colombia and Puerto Rico for a qualifier that will give an Olympic spot, later in May, in a place to be defined – Colombian and Rican federations made a bid to host the tournament. Puerto Rico is the favourite team to grab the berth.
Seven teams have secured their place in Rio: Brazil (host country), USA, Russia, China, Serbia, Argentina and Cameroon. There are five remaining spots. Besides the tournament aforementioned, Japan will host, in late May, the World Olympic Qualifier, when four tickets will be given. The three best teams plus the best Asian will qualify to Rio 2016. The participants are Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Italy, Netherlands, Dominican Republic and Peru.

Kanye West loses $10million in sales due to pirated copies of his album after it was released on Tidal

Kanye West took a huge financial hit due to the poor roll out of his new album The Life of Pablo. His latest work has been pirated and downloaded so many times since its release that the rapper has lost $10million in sales. This all comes at a time when West has claimed he is $53million in debt.

The New York Post reports that if the 500,000 people who illegally downloaded the album in its frist day had paid the $20 it cost to buy the album West would have personally made $10million.
Kanye revealed on Monday that his album will never go on sale and will only ever be available on Tidal, the digital music service which is subscription based and owned by his friend Jay Z and other music artists.
'My album will never never never be on Apple. And it will never be for sale... You can only get it on Tidal,' wrote Kanye on Twitter.
'Please to all my friends fans and music lovers. Sign up to Tidal now.'
Tidal costs $10 to $20 a month, with fans able to get their first month for free.

West may be able to make up that $10million he lost in album sales though, as fellow rapper The Game said he would give him that exact amount as an investment if he came to Dubai to skydive with him on Thursday.

West has yet to respond to this offer.

On Monday, West also expressed his anger towards Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, New York Times over their reception of his new album.
It was a bit surprising considering Pitchfork gave his album a very good 9/10 rating, Rolling Stone has given the work extensive coverage and the Times wrote in their review; 'Now his rapping is sparser, more pointed, less imagistic and more emotional. And when he truly needs to be heard, he can corral a dream team of collaborators. He’s so fluent that he can use others to speak for him, and be understood clear as day.'
On that same night he also called Puff Daddy 'the most important cultural figure in my life,' said that white people 'don't understand what it means to be the great grandson of ex slaves' and also noted that the 'system is designed for colored people to fail and one of our only voices is music.'

Kanye's rant came on the same night as the Grammys, where he was nominated for four awards including one for Best Album for his work producing the Weeknd's Beauty Behind the Madness. He lost in all four of his categories.

Teen accused of impersonating doctor, stealing from patient

Malachi Love-Robinson had all the trappings of a medical practice — an office, a lab coat and stethoscope. What he didn't have, authorities say, was a medical license — few 18 year olds do. Now the Florida teen is charged with practicing medicine without a license and theft after he allegedly performed an exam on an undercover agent and took almost $3,500 from an 86-year-old woman seeking treatment for stomach pain.
He's also accused of stealing three checks from her that he cashed for almost $2,800.
Love-Robinson was released on $21,000 bail on Wednesday, one day after his arrest.
"Those are just allegations," he told The Associated Press in a brief phone interview. He said he planned to hold a news conference Wednesday evening to discuss the charges.
According to Palm Beach County sheriff's reports, an undercover agent went to Love-Robinson's office, The New Birth New Life Medical Center, on Tuesday. He was wearing a white lab coat with a stethoscope draped over his neck.

The agent told him that she was suffering from a sore throat, lethargy and sneezing. He took her temperature and used the stethoscope to check her lungs and heart and told her she was suffering from allergies and should take an over-the-counter medication.
He told her he was a doctor of homeopathic medicine, the report said, and explained that he had a medical doctor on staff to prescribe antibiotics. She signaled other detectives who entered the office and arrested him.

Detectives also cited the case of Anita Morrison, who filed a complaint alleging Love-Robinson had come to her house five times in December after she contacted him online to treat her for stomach pains. He told her she suffered from arthritis and sold her vitamins, charging her $3,494 that she paid by check.

During one visit, she told detectives, she became ill, and Love-Robinson called an ambulance to take her to the hospital. He recommended that she not take her purse, so she gave it to him and asked him to lock up her house.
After her release, she found her bank account had no money. Investigators said Love-Robinson had forged three checks from her account.

Morrison did not immediately return a message left on her voicemail.
A website for Love-Robinson's medical practice says he specializes in naturopathy, a system of medicine based on the healing power of nature that avoids the use of surgery and drugs. It is not a licensed medical specialty in Florida and cannot be legally practiced in the state. Its practitioners do not attend traditional medical schools.

Love-Robinson's website says he is a "well rounded professional" who bases his treatments on "physiological functions and abnormal conditions on natural laws governing the human body."
The site says he accepts 19 health insurance plans, plus Medicaid. Three insurance companies contacted by AP said they had no dealings with him. The site also says he speaks French and lists his age as 25.

The Palm Beach Post and South Florida Sun Sentinel reported that Love-Robinson had been stopped last year at a hospital while wandering the halls wearing a lab coat and stethoscope. He was then 17.
On a separate religious-themed website, Love-Robinson says he is an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church, having done a doctoral thesis that "explored the paradoxical nature of certain Christian doctrines and the implications for the rationality of Christian faith." The Universal Life Church is an Internet-based church that will ordain anyone 13 or older who fills out a short form.

"Dr Love-Robinson is now and (sic) advocate for ULC and all Associations in which he represents and intends to bring much good to community one blessing at a time," his profile says.
