Check out the cake that looks like a giant raindrop (photos)

If you're struggling to shed the flab but just can't do without your sweet tooth, you'll love this. Thanks to chef Darren Wong, you can now indulge your cravings without worrying about piling on the pounds, he has come up with a cake that looks like a giant raindrop and contains no calories at all.

Made of mineral water and agar - a gelatin-like substance made from algae - it can be sliced, and reportedly has a mild taste like water.
 According to Darren,
"Making the cake took a lot of trial and error testing out different agars and gelatins to get the right consistency". The cake has to maintain its shape but still have the texture of water.  This makes the cake a nightmare to store and transport.
"That was the second challenge I had to overcome. Each cake has to be individually packed in a way that protects it from movement and temperature." For flavour, you can add roasted soybean flour and brown sugar syrup.Who says you can't eat your cake and have it?

New Chelsea coach Antonio Conte faces prison sentence for Match fixing allegations

An Italian court on Tuesday called for incoming new Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, to receive a six-month suspended prison sentence over match-fixing allegations during his time in Italy. The Italian, who was confirmed as Chelsea's new coach on Monday has been accused of sporting fraud during his time as manager of Siena, in Serie B in May 2011.

Siena gained promotion to Serie A that season, with that success earning Conte the job at Juventus, the club he graced as a player for 13 years. In 2012, when he was in charge of Juventus, Conte was hit with a 10-month ban by the Italian football federation over the affair, reduced to four months on appeal.

According to Conte's lawyer, an Italian prosecutor wants incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte to get a six-month suspended prison sentence and fine over his alleged role in match fixing. Prosecutor Roberto di Martino has cited a match against Albino Leffe, claiming Conte knew of match-fixing efforts.

He requested the sentence and 8,000 euro fine in a closed-doors hearing in Cremona on Tuesday. Conte's lawyer, Leonardo Cammarata, said the defence is due to make its final statement to the court on 11 April and a verdict is due in mid-May.

Huge 15 ft alligator shot dead in Florida (photos)

Lee Lightsley, a professional hunter in Florida shot dead a massive alligator measuring 15ft and weighing 360kg, he shot it dead after he found it in a pond surrounded by carcasses of his cattle.

The marine beast was so big he needed a tractor to move it. He said:

"Although this animal is huge I was not that surprised it existed. "We have come across lots over the last 20 years that have been only a little smaller. But what really drew our attention to this animal was the fact that it seems to have been feasting on the cattle on my farm, because mutilated body parts were found in the water. It was a monster which needed to be removed."
He has been hunting alligators for commercial purposes since 1988 and says this is the biggest animal he's ever killed in 18 years. He charges $10,000 (£7,070) to hunt and kill an alligator more than 13ft long at his site in Florida.

Panama Report: FIFA President Gianni Infantino strongly denies any wrong doing after being implicated

New FIFA President Gianni Infantino has strongly denied any wrong doing after he was implicated in the ongoing scandal involving the report published by Panama Papers. Leaked documents shared with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists revealed that Infantino, while he worked for UEFA  signed a deal with one of the men at the centre of the sport’s corruption scandal, Hugo Jinkis.
News of the deal came to light after 11 million documents were leaked from the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca .

According to the reports, ten years ago when Infantino was director of legal services at UEFA, the organisation sold the rights for broadcasting its club competitions including the Champions League in South America to an Argentinian company called Cross Trading.

Cross Trading immediately sold the rights on to broadcaster Teleamazonas for about three or four times the amount paid, and Cross Trading is a subsidiary of a company called Full Play.

Full Play is owned by Jinkis, who along with his son Mariano, is under house arrest in Argentina  after he was indicted in the United States in May last year as part of the corruption scandal which rocked FIFA, and which the current FIFA board led by Infantino have promised to sanitize.
Hugo Jinkis and his son, Mariano, are fighting extradition from Argentina to the United States.

US prosecutors alleged last year that, as the owners of Cross Trading, Jinkis and his son paid millions of dollars in bribes to South American football officials over several years in order to gain lucrative television rights for regional football tournaments.
This is a smack on Infantino's face due to the fact that UEFA has constantly denied dealing with those implicated in the scandal.

Infantino, in a bid to ensure his integrity isn't smeared, posted this statement on FIFA's official website last night.
"I am dismayed and will not accept that my integrity is being doubted by certain areas of the media, especially given that UEFA has already disclosed in detail all facts regarding these contracts.

From the moment I was made aware of the latest media enquiries on the matter, I immediately contacted UEFA to seek clarity. I did this because I am no longer with UEFA, and it is they who exclusively possess all contractual information relating to this query. In the meantime, UEFA has announced that it has been conducting a review of its numerous commercial contracts and has answered extensively all media questions related to these specific contracts.

As I previously stated, I never personally dealt with Cross Trading nor their owners as the tender process was conducted by Team Marketing on behalf of UEFA.

I would like to state for the record that neither UEFA nor I have ever been contacted by any authorities in relation to these particular contracts.

Moreover, as media themselves report, there is no indication whatsoever for any wrongdoings from neither UEFA nor myself in this matter."

Stunning photos of bird of prey as it swoops in for the kill

In these incredible photographs captured by wildlife photographer Bill Doherty, 61, at River Spey in the Scottish Cairngorms, an Osprey is seen as it swoops in for the kill. It dives effortlessly into the water and emerges in a watery plume dinner in tow before flying off with an unfortunate fish, all in one smooth, graceful motion.

Bill, from Northumberland, said: “It’s difficult to obtain good shots of ospreys, especially in flight and diving.
“Ospreys only eat fish, and experienced ospreys are successful in catching their prey in one out of every four dives.
“They need to consume around 300 to 400 grams of fish per day.
“My favourite shot is of an osprey coming out of the water with its wings shrouding the fish.
“Birds are my speciality, and ospreys are my favourite birds to observe and photograph."

Meet the 56-year-old model who is the oldest woman to have been featured in Sports Illustrated

Nicola Griffin, a size 16, single mother from Nottingham is the oldest model to have been featured in Sports Illustrated's swimsuit edition. She took up modelling for want of something to do after her kids all flew the nest.  Now she's the star of a shoot for SLiNK magazine, the only print plus-size fashion magazine worldwide, for its 'Passion Issue', celebrating passionate women across all ages.

Nicola told SLiNK: 'Young girls open magazines and it influences them so much about body image. I think it's very good for them to see different sized women because otherwise they can feel bad about themselves if they don't look like the models.
'When you get to 56 you don't know how long you have got left in the world, and this is how you look - so embrace it.
'I've been young, I've been worried, I've been under pressure. I've felt all those things and I don't want to feel them any more.
'I'm determined to enjoy each day. I grab every opportunity and make the best of it. That's the path. I'm on now.
'This seems to be my moment and I'm really happy. Life definitely begins over fifty.'
Talking about her decision to become a model, Nicola said: 'I haven’t heard any negativity.
'I’ve had fantastic feedback from women saying they finally feel they have a model that represents and inspires them. It’s been wonderful.

She advises other women to care less about what other people think of them, telling other aspiring older models: 'The key is not listening to what other people tell you. Brave it out - you’ve got to go for it with a passion. Be brave and strong. You have got nothing to lose and everything to gain.'
You might think looking so good at 56 comes with impossible dietary commitments but Nicola doesn't diet, she said: "I eat a lot of fruit and veg. I like kiwis, nuts, green smoothies made with spinach and bananas, and I have porridge for breakfast."

She has also cut back on alcohol and invested in good facial oils, fitness is essential, she attends Zumba classes, a fitness dance regime.

Porsche motors cleared of any responsibility for the crash that killed Paul Walker

A judge has cleared Porsche of any responsibility for the car crash that killed actor Paul Walker and his friend Roger Rodas. Walker and his friend Roger Rodas died in 2013 when the Porsche Carrera GT they were both in, driven by Rodas crashed into a tree.

Rodas’ widow Kristine went on to sue Porsche alleging that the Carrera GT had various ‘defects’ which resulted in her husband losing control of the car.

Porsche strongly denied all allegations and have now been cleared of any responsibility in the star actor and Roger Rodas' death.

According to TMZ, Kristine's argument that the car was ill equipped to handle side impact was moot, since the fatal force came from the front when it hit the lamppost - as her own expert confirmed.
US District Judge Philip S. Gutierrez also rejected the front impact argument because 'Rodas' fatal injuries occurred when he actually was hurled into Paul Walker.'

He also rejected the fuel cell argument, finding that it was not the cause of the fire, and held that Rodas' lawyers had not presented evidence demonstrating the crash was caused by a defective suspension.

Her attorney, Mark Geragos has confirmed that the ruling will be appealed.
