David Mayebi
Grief struck has once more stroke Cameroon football family . David Mayebi is no more. The 61 years Cameroonian football administrator suffered a malaise Tuesday, May 3, 2016 while on mission to Bertoua the capital of the East Region.
He was to be evacuated through Yaoundé for treatment but the former defensive midfielder of the Union Sportive Douala did not survive.
His condition had detolorated and officials of the International Federation of football (Fifpro), sent an air ambulance for evacuation. “But the aircraft did not arrive yesterday Saturday in Yaounde. Because takeoffs and landings of planes at Nsimalen were not impossible as the head of State was leaving for Nigeria.The plane sent by Fifpro finally arrived Nsimalen on Sunday but it was already too late. The crew were by Mayebi when the latter passed away “testifies, a friend of David Mayebi in tears.
Currently, the lifeless body of the former player, coach, club officer and football administrator, is still in Yaoundé, waiting to be transported to Douala, his birthplace and residence Douala
