A 24 year old Tennessee mother, Kelsey McMurtry has been arrested for leaving her 14-month-old daughter in a very hot car while she danced at a strip club, authorities said.
A good Samaritan who saw the toddler when her mum left her in the car said she had been inside for 30 minutes, before the police were called.
When police arrived and found the child in the car all alone, they pulled McMurtry outside and had her remove the girl from the vehicle. The toddler was wearing a medium to heavy coat and was drenched in sweat.
The little girl was taken to the hospital and into custody by the Department of Children’s Services.
McMurtry, who had an outstanding warrant, initially gave police a fake name when they confronted her.
She’s since been charged with a felony charge of child neglect of a child 8 or less, criminal impersonation and the outstanding charge of no driver’s license. She’s held on a $40,000 bond.
Taylor was also charged with felony child neglect of a child 8 or less. She’s held on $10,000 bond.
Both women are due in court Monday afternoon.

The temperature inside the car was above 100 degrees and the little girl was wearing a coat according to the arrest warrant.
According to the affidavit, McMurtry, who worked as a bikini and lingerie model and as a ring girl during boxing and MMA events, had left her daughter in the care of a friend, 19 year old Summer Taylor. Rather than watch the child, Taylor left her in PT Cruiser, then went inside the strip club to watch McMurtry's audition according to the warrant.
