So it happens that after the Bambili horrific scene which claims scores of lives with body parts scattered all over, another road accident follows today evening in Douala -Nkongsamba road claiming the lives of 15 people. CRTV national station reported in their 5pm news. The attached photo was taken this evening along the Douala-Nkongsamba road.
Something needs to be done. Where do we begin? Should we start questioning the government to develop double lane roads or develop more roads to decongest the present one. Should we question the need for stricter control of giving driving licences, it seems it is easier to get one without even going to a driving school. Should we question the need for government to develop special roads for heavy trucks and maybe put on more control on how transport agencies recruits drivers? Should we question the need for travel agencies to control their drivers to avoid them taking more hours on the road than usual? Should we question the need for government to regulate travelling agencies and should we question the need for a more robust campaign on road safety?
Is it that some forces of evil are at work and they need more blood to carry out their activities? God help us
What possibly could the government do to mitigate these alarming rates of accidents?
