Cristiano Ronaldo is labelled 'Spornosexual' by Mark Simpson who authored the term 'metrosexual'

According to Mark Simpson who created the term 'metrosexual', (which refers to a straight man who embraces the homosexual lifestyle, i.e. refined tastes in clothing, excessive use of designer hygiene products, a straight guy who’s so cool, smart, attractive, stylish, and cultured, that everyone thinks he’s gay), football star Cristiano Ronaldo is a Spornosexual.



Ronaldo has always been seen as the classic metrosexual: grooming and taking care of his appearance with meticulous care, and always sporting the latest fashion trend. Speaking in an interview with Catalan paper La Vanguardia yesterday, Simpson labeled Cristiano Ronaldo as a classic ‘Spornosexual‘implying he was at the forefront of the new frontier of men.

"(Spornosexual is) a fusion of sport and porn: cultivating an athletic body as an object of desire, and showing it off on social networks, accumulating sexual partners.' 'It’s a tendency with young men. Look at Cristiano Ronaldo: the self-praise of his body. The spornosexual wants to be loved for his body, not for what he does.’ Simpson said.
