Diddy announces he's retiring from music, 50 Cents shades him, lol

Diddy, over the weekend announced that he'll be retiring from music to face acting, 50 Cent who enjoys to taunt him shaded him by posting the above comment.

Diddy covered the June of issue of Cigar Aficionado Magazine where he told them:
I’m going to put out my last album and devote 100 percent of my time to doing films … I want to stop at a great place.”
His forthcoming and final album, No Way Out 2, will be the final chapter of his legacy in the music industry.
He added:
“When I’m gone, only the songs will survive. I know I’m making music that will live on. I don’t go into the studio just to be hot or to hear myself on the radio."

Beyonce earns sixth No. 1 album on Billboard 200 chart with 'Lemonade'

Beyonce’s Lemonade album is at at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, giving her a sixth no. 1 album on the Billboard. The set earned 653,000 equivalent album units in the week ending April 28, according to Nielsen Music. Pure album sales comprised 485,000 of that sum.

Beyoncé's 'Lemonade' Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).

According to their website, the new May 14-dated chart (where Lemonade is No. 1) will be posted in full to Billboard’s websites on Tuesday, May 3.

Indian boy shoots himself in the head while taking a selfie with a gun

A 15 year old Indian teenager, Ramandeep Singh accidently shot himself in the head with his father's .32 revolver while trying to take a selfie on Friday evening. He was posing with his older sister with the gun held to his head when he pulled the gun’s trigger instead of clicking the camera button on his phone.
He was taken to a private hospital in Punjab with the bullet still lodged in his head after neighbours heard the gunshot and alerted his parents, who were not home at the time.
On Sunday, the city's deputy police superintendent, Manoj Kumar, said the 15-year-old is being treated in a hospital at Pathankot in Punjab state and was expected to survive.
Kumar said:

"The boy's father and family said that he was trying to take a selfie with his gun," he said.

"We will speak to the boy when he is declared medically fit. We think that part of the blame obviously goes to the father for not keeping his loaded gun under lock and key at their home."

However, late Sunday night, Kumar confirmed that the teenager didn't make it, he succumbed to his injuries and died.

A man was seriously injured in April by an elephant when he tried to snap a selfie with the chained animal at a festival in Kerala, according to the Hindustan Times on Sunday.

There have been so many incidents about teenagers getting killed or injured while trying to take selfies.

Police in India have identified 16 dangerous selfie spots in Mumbai and asked the local council to erect warning signs and deploy lifeguards.

Anglophones Marginalization – See What Just Happened in Yaounde

Cameroon is a highly divided country along linguistic lines, and authorities of the nation are doing their best to promote the divide. When it finally explode, probably most of them would have died and their children living abroad.

Almost all occasions that bring Anglophones and Francophones together, have become harbingers of what is known today as the Anglophone Problem. In the just ended All University Games of Cameroon for example, there were very visible signs of the divide as manifested in the way officials threated Anglophone participants. It appeared to have been carefully thought out and orchestrated by Francophones and some few Anglophones who have no consciences.

During the games, in any duel between a school from Anglophone Cameroon and a school from French Cameroon, Francophones officials would do all to make sure their team goes ahead, most often bending the rules. In one of the quarter finals of female football pitting the University of Bamenda (UBa) against the University of Ngaoundéré, for example, as Yaoundé authorities grew surprised at the collective play style of the Bamenda girls, they appeared resolved to do their best to make sure Bamenda girls didn’t sail through to the semifinals.

Consider this for example. The girls from Bamenda scored three goals but they were all canceled by either the referee on the centre of the filed or his assistants in an incoherent manner. Sometimes the referee would allow the goal but his assistant would disallow it and vice versa. In spite of that, UBa girls finally won after post-match penalties.

A similar situation was witnessed at the male football finals where the rules were interpreted to the favour of Yaoundé I University to allow them play a finals that, as per FIFA and FENASU rules, University of Buea had won since those of Yaoundé I came very late. The question many asked is, if it was Buea that had come that late would the match not have been given to Yaoundé I?

But the worst was yet to come. And this wasn’t at the pitch. On the eve of the closing ceremony, mobile telephone company MTN, organized what it called Miss Games. Despite the brilliant performance of the ladies from the University of Bamenda, who won the Gold, MTN chose to give the crown to a lady from the University of Douala who could not even address the people. The decision received booing from Anglophones as well as some conscientious Francophones who observed that the partiality was so glaring.

It is a fair thing to say that the Games were all about Francophones. The rules were made by Francophone officials and imposed on Anglophones. The working language was French and instructions were given to teams from the North West and South West in French, whether they understood or not – their problem.

But the marginalization appeared to have strengthened solidarity amongst Anglophones at the Games.  English speaking students from schools in French speaking cities could be seen rallying behind any team from either Buea or Bamenda each time they had a match. Students from the Catholic University Institute of the Diocese of Buea and their Fans club abandoned their sister school, Saint Jerome of Douala and Catholic University of Central Africa, based in Yaoundé and chose to rather rally behind any school from Buea and Bamenda. Whether by accident or by design, in the official tribune, all Anglophones Vice Chancellors and Rectors of State Universities sad at one end where they could easily speak their common language. And when players and top officials of the Anglo-Saxon universities could no longer take it, they complained bitterly in public that it is because they are Anglophones. They have vowed not to let the mess repeat in 2017 as the games go to the University of Bamenda.

The All University Games just ended last Saturday, April 30, but not without some drama. Cameroonians who were part of the sporting jamboree may never forget what happened at the football pitch prior to the finals of men’s football match, pitting the University of Buea (UB) against that of Yaoundé I.

The match that started with a lot of controversy and rules bending to favour the Yaounde team saw UB Vice Chancellor, Nalova Lyonga, so repulsed that uncharacteristic of her, she openly snubbed Fame Ndongo, Minister of Higher Education.

The drama was ignited by players of the Yaounde University team deliberate effort to stay away from the pitch while the Buea team sat there waiting for hours. The Yaounde team actually walked in two hours late. The Minister and other officials were forced to sit in wait too for hours for the Yaoundé I team to arrive. After waiting to no avail, the main pitch also known as stade d’intergration that was to host the match was given to the ladies to have their match. When the team from Yaoundé I finally showed up, players and officials of Buea insisted the game was over and that they were winners by forfeiture according to the rules.

The Buea delegation, led by Nalova, insisted the game was over, that the rule be applied and their team declared winners. Nalova, the strong girl that she is would not want her team to step an inch back into the pitch any more – she told them to leave the pitch for as per the rules they have won.

well-orchestrated show to come after the ladies’ team was already occupying the main pitch. This, they will be asked to play their own game in a different pitch further away from the view of state officials where match officials would be able to bend the rules and cause UB to lose the much coveted Gold Medal that they won during the last games in 2015.

When UB authorities got winged of this, they asked their players not to play because the Yaoundé match officials would do all to make the Yaounde team carry the day.

When Buea would not return to the pitch, it was then that Fame Ndongo, the Minister, was forced to abandon the finals of the female football competition to trek down to the secondary stadium where he met UB authorities in attempt to broker a settlement. Nalova was invited into the circle that had been formed to broker the solution. Surrounding the circle were hundreds of UB supporters already losing patience. In the impromptu meeting, Nalova Lyonga was heard categorically telling the Minister and other officials that her team wasn’t going to play the match. People saw her nod her head in disagreement of what was being agreed upon and then walked out of the presence of the Minister who was left with his officials, including the Rector of the University of Yaoundé I, Maurice Aurelien Sosso.

Nalova left the gathering, went and sat under a man-made shade provided by her heavily imposed bodyguard and watched the drama from a distance, continuing to give firm instructions to her team not to enter the field.

After failing to bend Nalova, the Yaoundé authorities resorted to the UB team’s captain, invited him into the circle and tried coercing him to getting his team to play the match. But their luck also failed here. The courageous team captain of Buea was unyielding as his Vice Chancellor, telling them that his mates would not play. It wasn’t until pressure started coming in from their coach, Asongu Nicholas, that the UB players yielded to the Minister and his cronies and got into the field without the blessings of Nalova Lyonga.

The match, scheduled for 11am didn’t take place till about 1pm, and though it could have gone into prolongation as it ended a draw after 60 minutes, the match went straight into penalties shot-out ending in the favour of Yaounde team with an aggregate 6-5 post match penalties.

At the end of the day, a visibly angry Vice Chancellor declared that she wasn’t happy with the outcome of the games. “They organized the University Games for students to bring out their talents but “people” come and impose rules.” She quipped.

 The next edition of the games would be hosted by the newly created University of Bamenda.

According to Page Six, Lamar's father Joe Odom has lashed out at his son's estranged wife, Khloe, for playing a role in his eviction from his LA home and how he had no choice but to move back to Brooklyn.

Lamar had been responsible for his father’s $4,000 rent for 10 years before Khloé allegedly had him and his wife evicted. According to Joe, 

“Khloé didn’t even have the guts to tell me herself that my rent wasn’t going to be paid anymore. She got the guys who handle Lamar’s money to call me and they said the rent wouldn’t be paid, I gotta move and my phone was going to get cut off. She disrespected me. She decided to kick me out of my home when Lamar was in hospital in Nevada.”

Although he has now been finally able to get through to Lamar, who said he would “sort it out,” Joe still holds Khloé as a culprit for trying to separate a Father from his son.

“I just wish I could be at his side in LA to support him, but Khloé doesn’t want me there. Whenever I call him, she answers. She must be checking his texts, too. I can’t always get through to him anymore. She may be Lamar’s wife, but I’m his father. She shouldn’t have cut me out of his life like she has.”

Father beats his 17yr old son silly in boxing match as punishment for skipping school

An unnamed American father has come up with a form of 'discipline' most parents will be hesitant to apply. A video posted to Facebook shows the father challenging his teenage son to a fight after learning that the lad walked out of lessons without telling him. He then proceeds to pummel the precocious young man leaving him a bloody, sobbing mess. The video has gone viral garnering nearly 1.5million views.

 

The clip starts with the unnamed father sitting in front of the camera explaining why he is about to go toe to toe in a boxing match with his son.

 He tells viewers: 'Hi Facebook world. So my son, 17 years old, decided he wants to go to school and cut up [mess around] like he don't want to have to come home and see me.
'So one day he walked out of the teacher's class and, granted, I know teacher's can be f****d up so I let him know he can walk out of class, but call me so I'm on your side.

'All day went by, he didn't call. So now, it's discipline time because he didn't do what I told him to do.'

He goes on to explain that he has chosen the specific form of punishment so it both disciplines the teenager and teaches him how to defend himself.

The father, who is wearing a white vest top, sports shorts and black gloves, then puts the camera down and shouts: 'Put them gloves on, let's go.'

He can then be seen helping his son put a pair of boxing gloves on.
The son, who has also not been identified, can be seen covering his face as he nervously stands in the middle of the room.

His father checks the camera to make sure the show is rolling before walking up to his son and starting to punch him.

The boy does his feeble best to cover his face with his gloved hands as his father repeatedly hits him while berating him about missing school and discussing the ways to punch someone. The teenager does not manage to land even a single punch in return.

Throughout the fight, the father continues to shout at him as he claims: 'You don't worry about this when you're cutting up, do you?' He also mocks his son, saying: 'That one hurt didn't it.'

The teenager can be heard gasping as his father states: 'You don't worry about blood. They don't see this at school do they.'

 

The fight ends when the man lets his son go and wash his face under a tap.

The father then returns to the camera and states: 'That's how you discipline a teenager. Give them a chance to shoot back.

'Let him show he he feels. He feel like he want to cut up at school - he knows the consequences. He has to deal with me when he gets home. That's what it is - teenage discipline 101. And that wasn't even the first round.' 

The final shots show the teenager clutching a tissue to his nose with his white T-shirt covered in blood. 

His father tells him to say 'hi' to his friends and 'sorry' to his teacher, which he does, before the camera is finally turned off. 

The father has come in for both praise and criticism online.

The photos which were take in the city of Huancayo, Peru - by a bystander, shows a young girl bend down to shield a dog she saw on the streets from rain, not minding if her uniform got stained or wet.



It shared on social media with the caption: "To see there are still people who care about animals fills me with happiness, seeing her drying the little dog with her blazer without caring what anyone thinks says a lot, if we all followed her example, I assure you this would be a different country"

It was viewed over 250,000 times.

Confession Of AIDS Infected Prostitutes Throws B’da Into Panic

The Northwest Regional Capital, Bamenda is in a state of panic, after some professional sex workers openly confessed of having infected many pastors, drivers, police and gendarmerie officers with the virus.

The stunning confessions were made recently at the Adeh Metal neighbourhood in Mankon, Bamenda, during a workshop that was organised for youths by an international human rights organisation that champions the fight against gender-based violence in Cameroon and beyond. The one day seminar was organised under theme: “Training and Engaging Adolescents Against New HIV Infections and Surviving the Infection”.

In a confession in front of over 100 youths, a 30-year-old lady, whose name has been withheld for professional reasons and for fear of stigmatisation said; “When some of us discovered that we were contaminated more than 10 years back, we joined the team of infected prostitutes.

Our target groups were pastors, forces of law and order and drivers, who we identified as our faithful and regular sex partners because they pay very high, but they are very impatient and rough during the exercise.

Most of them prefer body-to-body or flesh-to-flesh without a condom. This act has a higher price tag ranging from FCFA 5,000, 10,000 or 15,000, depending on how beautiful you are.

We have also noticed that drunken men, especially the forces of law and order, pay without hesitating to avoid public disgrace and those who are married plead for us to conceal their identities whenever and wherever we meet them.”According to the prostitutes, their anger stems from the fact that those who contaminated them can never be traced. As such, any victim who wants to pay very high and prefers to go “live” must have his share of the virus.

After the confession, the 30-year-old wept profusely and pleaded for forgiveness. The lady said “I am now a new woman because I’m no longer in “active service” in the oldest profession. “I left the club of those who are infecting these men and started taking my anti-retroviral drugs two years ago. I am warning young people not to fall prey to sugar mummy or daddy. Know your HIV status before you engage in any sex activity or abstain until you and your partner are tested negative,” she averred.

Meanwhile, officials from the international NGO Women In Action against Gender Violence, WA-Cameroon, revealed that there are seven new HIV infections in every minute in Cameroon. According to them, their organisation is fighting hard to reduce the HIV/AIDS prevalence rate by 2030. The workshop was sponsored by Positive Action for Children Fund, PACF.
