Lady Gaga reveals her relatives only found she'd been raped after the Oscars
Lady took to instagram yesterday to reveal that her grandmother and aunt only found out she'd been a victim of rape after her emotional performance at the Oscars on Sunday night. Lady Gaga performed her Oscar-nominated song 'Til It Happens To You from rape documentary The Hunting Ground, which investigated widespread sexual assault on American college campuses.

Nigerian cement tycoon Aliko Dangote is still the richest black person in the world by far with a fortune estimated at $14.4 billion, down from $15.7 billion last year. Coincidentally, the second richest black person in the world this year is also a Nigerian- Mike Adenuga, a businessman who has built a $10 billion fortune on mobile telecom, oil and real estate investments. He displaces Saudi-Ethiopian.
Like last year, Angolan investor Isabel dos Santos, American media mogul Oprah Winfrey and Nigerian oil woman Folorunsho Alakija are still the only black female billionaires on the FORBES billionaires list.

Aliko Dangote, $14.4 billion

Aliko Dangote of Nigeria is Africa’s richest man for the 8th year. He is the founder and chairman of Dangote Cement, the continent’s largest cement producer. Dangote Cement now owns plants in Cameroon, Ethiopia, Zambia and Tanzania and produces more than 30 million metric tons annually. His conglomerate, the Dangote Group, also has business interests in sugar, flour and salt production.
Mike Adenuga, $9.9 billion

Nigerian billionaire Mike Adenuga is now the second richest black person in the world, thanks to new information from analysts on the value of his mobile telecom company, Globacom, and his oil production company, Conoil Producing.
Mohammed Al-Amoudi, $8.4 billion
Saudi Arabian, Oil
Saudi tycoon Mohammed Al-Amoudi made his first fortune in construction in Saudi Arabia and reinvested in construction, agriculture, and energy companies across Sweden, Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia. He owns Preem, an oil refining company as well oil fields off West Africa and gold mines in Ethiopia.
Isabel Dos Santos, $3.1 billion

The world’s richest black woman is also the oldest daughter of Angola’s president, Jose Eduardo dos Santos. She owns lucrative stakes in blue-chip Angolan companies such as Unitel, the country’s largest mobile phone network, and a stake in Banco BIC. She is also a controlling shareholder of Portuguese cable TV and telecom firm Nos SGPS (formerly called Zon).
Oprah Winfrey, $3.1 billion
American, Television
Oprah, once the queen of daytime TV, is still the richest African-American person in the world. Her once struggling cable channel, OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) is now cash flow positive and is enjoying soaring ratings on the back of a series of successful sitcom and drama collaborations with director Tyler Perry. She also owns a 10% stake in Weight Watchers.
Femi Otedola, $1.85 billion
Nigerian, Gas stations, Utilities
Femi Otedola is Nigeria’s 3rd richest man. He owes his fortune to his controlling shareholding of Forte Oil PLC, one of Africa’s largest energy companies. The $2.1 billion (Market capitalization) company owns gas stations and fuel storage depots and manufactures its own line of engine oils. Forte also has interests in power generation.
Folorunsho Alakija, $1.55 billion
Nigerian, Oil
Nigeria’s only female billionaire is the founder of Famfa Oil, a Nigerian company that owns a substantial participating interest in OML 127, a lucrative oil block on the Agbami deep-water oilfield in Nigeria. Alakija started off as a secretary in a Nigerian merchant bank in the 1970s, then quit her job to study fashion design in England. Upon her return, she founded a Nigerian fashion label that catered to upscale clientele, including Maryam Babangida, wife to Nigeria’s former military president Ibrahim Babangida.
Patrice Motsepe, $1.15 billion
South African, Mining
South Africa’s first black billionaire, Patrice Motsepe has lost $1 billion since last year due to a sharp decline in the stock price of his mining company African Rainbow Minerals–which mines and processes iron, manganese, chrome, platinum, copper, nickel, coal and gold. Motsepe also has a stake in Sanlam, a listed financial services firm, and is the president and owner of the Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club.
Michael Jordan, $1.14 billion
American, Basketball
Basketball’s greatest player is the majority shareholder of Charlotte Bobcats and enjoys lucrative deals with the likes of Gatorade, Hanes and Upper Deck. His biggest pile comes from Brand Jordan, a $1 billion (sales) sportswear partnership with Nike.
Abdulsamad Rabiu, $1.1 billion
Nigerian, Cement, Sugar
Rabiu is the founder of BUA Group, a Nigerian conglomerate with interests in sugar refining, cement production, real estate, steel, port concessions, manufacturing, oil gas and shipping. BUA Group’s annual revenues are estimated at over $2 billion. Abdulsamad got his start in business working for his father, Isyaku Rabiu, a successful businessman from Nigeria’s Northern region. He struck out on his own in 1988, importing rice, sugar, edible oils as well as steel and iron rods.
Mohammed Ibrahim, $1.07 billion
British, Mobile Telecoms, Investments
Sudanese-born Mo Ibrahim is the founder of Celtel, an African mobile phone company, which he sold to MTC of Kuwait for $3.4 billion in 2005. He is the founder of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation which promotes good governance in Africa and awards the annual Mo Ibrahim Prize for Achievement in African Leadership – a lifetime award of $5 million given over 10 years to retired African heads of state who have left their countries materially better off and more transparent.

LIVING WITH THE NIGHTMARE OF A GUILTY CONSCIENCE
Age has really had a great impact on my life. It has changed me very considerably. It has matured me into someone who sees several aspects of life from very different angles, some of which can be really contradictory. Like my stand on the idea of wealth during a debate with some colleagues in Yaounde the other day.
You see, Cameroonians have their various warped ideas about wealth. To most Cameroonians, wealth is perceived only in terms of material things and cash. That is where I failed to agree with my colleagues during that debate in Yaounde.
It is not as if I don’t consider material wealth and cash as good things. They can be. But they can only be good to the extent that they are honestly acquired. And like Balzac said: “Behind every great fortune, there is a great crime”. It is almost impossible for someone to come into the kind of opulence being thrown around in this country without having committed a great crime.
I believe very strongly that honestly acquired wealth cannot attain certain figures that we hear in this country, especially in a third world country like ours. When I hear people celebrating the acquisition of billions without showing an honest corresponding means through which they acquired the wealth, I just get sorry for such people as well as for this our cursed triangle.
Like I have written several times before, there is hardly any bigger thing God endowed the human being with than conscience. That is why I am always sorry for those who illegally acquire wealth and pretend to be happy. Such people cannot possibly be happy. The happiness they exhibit outside is a hoax. They live nightmares and can hardly have sound sleep. And sleeping soundly is one of the most precious gifts on earth. It is precious wealth in itself.
So, when I come across people who think they are wealthy but who can hardly have a wink, I get sorry for them. Sound sleep makes the body develop well and fresh. It bestows a lot of good things to the individual and enables the one to have the peace that passeth all understanding. It enables one reflect well, plan well and achieve healthy goals that can be worth a lot of gold if transformed into material wealth.
People who sleep soundly, to me, are the wealthiest people on earth. And sleeping soundly can only come with a clear conscience. And that is a rare commodity that wealthy people can hardly boast of.
Me, I sleep very soundly. And that is why I consider myself a very wealthy person. Whether you believe it or not, some people with whom I have had the occasion of sleeping together with, have envied me for my sound sleeping. Like this Peruvian young man I had to share the same room at the Aharon Ofri International Study Centre situated in the Jerusalem neighbourhood of Ramat Rachel, Israel some twenty years ago. (1996).
I had won a UNESCO Fellowship to study in Israel and we had arrived Jerusalem in the night and the previous course participants in the Centre were due to leave the following day. In fact we arrived when their graduation party was on. We new arrivals were thus forced to share rooms with the graduating batch that one night. I shared my own room with the young Peruvian journalist and at dawn, I got up to meet him staring at me with some admiration and envy.
Finally he asked me the question: “Can you let me into your secret of sleeping so soundly? I hardly had a wink last night and I spent much of the time watching and admiring you sleep. I hardly sleep, you know”, he said.
After a long conversation with him, I discovered he had been involved with a terrorist organization in his country that had done some killing of innocent people, including women, children and old helpless people. The dark spot on his past brought him nightmares whenever he covered his eyes.
Repent, I told him. Pray to God and take your problems to Him. He would not forsake you, I admonished my young friend. And this is the advice I give to most of those who have nightmares whenever they cover their eyes. They wrestle with their consciences because of the evil things they did or continue doing.
Like the Bible says, “It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdome of God”. I guess the Bible is right there and it could still be very right if it had added “rich thieves”. Those today looting our public treasury should think. Think, compatriots.

Katie Price backtracks after receiving criticism for saying she would have aborted her son if she knew he'll be disabled
Her 13-year-old child, Harvey, from a previous relationship with retired footballer Dwight Yorke, suffers from a rare genetic condition called Prader-Willi syndrome, as well as autism, ADHD and blindness.
On the show she revealed she would have aborted him if she knew he'll be disabled because as at the time of pregnancy she didn't know what life will throw at her.
Speaking on Loose Women, she said:
'I was young when I had Harvey and I admit it: If I'd have known he was blind when I had him, as harsh as it sounds, I probably would have aborted him.'
'Now it's like oh my god, no way,' she said. 'Now if they said I was going to have a child with disabilities, I would definitely keep it. I would even adopt a child with disabilities.
'Until you are in that situation, you don't know.'
She said: 'Anyone who’s a carer, mother, anyone dealing with disabilities, I have so much respect because I know what goes into it.'
She added: ‘I absolutely love Harvey so much. I would never change anything about him
'Yes it’s challenging, but it’s also rewarding. He’s a great character and I love him. I don’t think anyone should be ashamed at all if they’ve got a child with disabilities.’
