The shocking way Nepalese children risk their lives using a cable to cross a river

Children in Dhaing Village, Nepal have to pull themselves across this terrifying cable bridge every day in order to get themselves to and from class. Not only children but also adults who have no choice. It is a lifeline for the residents, who face danger every day in order to go shopping for basic amenities or meet friends and family who live on the other side of the Trishuli River.

The villagers have to sit in either a basic loop of fabric or a small ramshackle wooden crate and operate the flimsy cable by hand. Crossers have lost fingers operating these cables, while in 2010, five people fell into the Trishuli River after a cable snapped & passed away.

Nepal's Prime Minister KP Oli recently announced a plan to replace the dangerous cable crossings with suspension bridges in the surrounding area but in the meantime Dhaing residents have no choice but to continue transportating themselves using these ropes.

Mayor accidentally shares screenshot of porn sites he visited

Mayor Thomas Koppl of Quickborn, Germany, posted a screengrab of the German constitution to back up arguments he was making about the Alternative for Germany party, he was probably too excited making his point he missed glaring 'errors' in the picture.

 The screen grab he posted included tabs of porn sites he had visited which include, 'Punishment Porn Videos', 'BDSM porno videos', 'German slut punished', 'HAMSTERS Gratis porn'. As is characteristic of politicians, he initially denied taking the pic saying someone else had taken the screenshot but eventually admitted that it was in fact him.

Köppl claims he first heard about BDSM when overhearing a conversation on a ski-lift in South Tyrol, where he is currently on holiday, and was simply researching it.

'I wasn't so up-to-date about that, which annoys me. They were mentioning the site 'Xhamster', and when I got to my room I wanted to get clued-up.'

He claims his internet connection was too slow to watch any of the videos and he ended up reading a Wikipedia page on Fifty Shade Of Grey, the racy EL James novel, to find out about BDSM.

15 year old boy shoots dead his 10 year old sister, cleans her body and dumps her in a field

Disturbing new details has emerged in the case of a Florida teenager accused of murdering his 10-year-old sister, with the 15-year-old suspect claiming he shot the girl by accident and then dumped her body in a field.

Fredrick Matthew Lochridge, 15, was arrested Sunday in the murder of his 10-year-old sister, Isabella Heffernan, after she was reported missing by her family and was later found behind her home in Fountain.

According to an arrest affidavit released this afternoon, Lochridge, who was initially said to be 16 years old but is actually 15, admitted to shooting Heffernan with a .22 caliber rifle at around 3am on Sunday.

 

During an interview with police, the teenager offered investigators conflicting versions of events, initially claiming that he shot the girl after mistaking her for a deer.

He later changed his story, saying he fired the gun because he thought someone was attacking his sister but struck her instead.

In a third statement, the 15-year-old said he was teaching Isabella how to use a firearm when he accidentally shot her in the chest.

 

When the mortally wounded grade-schooler started making gurgling noises, Lochridge said: 'I didn't know exactly how to deal with that, so I shot her again,' according to the affidavit cited by MyPanhandle.com. 

Lochridge then cleaned his sister's body, dressed her in a white frock and dumped her in a large field behind their house, according to the document.

The 15-year-old initially hid the rifle used in the killing but later told deputies where to find it.

Speaking to reporters this afternoon, Bay County Sheriff Frank McKeithen said they are not ruling out sexual battery preceding Isabella's killing.

McKeithen said that interviewing 15-year-old Fredrick Lochridge was not like talking to a child but talking to a 30-year-old murderer, reported the station WCTV.

 

‘He was a hard core kid,’ the sheriff recalled. ‘He lied. He was deceitful. He screamed. He cursed.’ 

Isabella Heffernan was last seen alive at around 10pm on Saturday when she went to bed at her family's home on Nonawood Road. 

Isabella's family reported her missing shortly before 11.30am the following morning when they discovered she had vanished.

Sheriff’s deputies accompanied by a K-9 unit, a mounted posse and an air unit launched a massive search in the area surrounding the family's house.

Shortly before 4.30pm, Isabella's lifeless body was found in a field behind her home.

Sheriff McKeithen revealed that during the search for Isabella on Sunday, Lochridge's father became suspicious that his son may have had something to do with her disappearance.

The man, also named Fredrick Lochridge, confronted the 15-year-old and handcuffed him, but he failed to tell deputies about what happened. 

The local sheriff's office is familiar with the Lochridge family, McKeithen told reporters.

 

Fredrick's mother, Michele Lochridge, is currently serving a prison sentence after being convicted of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder in the 2011 killing of Port St Lucie attorney Ashley Pollow, who was her boss.

Anglophone Lawyers Chart Southern Cameroons Restoration

Common Law lawyers bitterly remember the Charter of the UN, which aimed to promote the political, economic, social and educational advancement of the inhabitants of the Southern Cameroons as a trust territory, and its progress towards independence.

According to the lawyers, the present State of Cameroon has no authority to administer the former Southern Cameroons.

Under the League of Nations, Britain and France had signed and published a Declaration determining the boundaries separating the colony administered by Germany, which had been defeated in World War I. In fact, Britain and France had just divided German Kamerun between them as war booty. By signing that Declaration, the two countries had thus determined the boundaries between what would become known as British Southern Cameroons and French Cameroun.

“On January 9, 1931, the Franco-British Treaty Boundary properly defined the present Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon to be administered under British mandate and the other eight Regions of Cameroun went under French mandate,” the lawyers state in their most recent Declaration drafted in Buea. After World War II, precisely on December 13, 1946, the General Assembly of the United Nations and the United Kingdom signed a Trusteeship Agreement for the territory of the Cameroons under British Administration.

A decade and half later, on December 14, 1960, the UN General Assembly adopted Resolution 1514(XV) on the Declaration on the granting of independence to colonial countries and peoples. Paragraph 5 of the Resolution declared that “immediate steps shall be taken, in Trust and Non-Self-Governing Territories or all other territories which have not yet attained independence, to transfer all powers to the peoples of those territories, without any conditions or reservations, in accordance with their freely expressed will and desires, without any distinction as to race, creed or colour, in order to enable them enjoy complete independence and freedom”.

With regard to Resolution 1514(XV), UN Resolution 1349(XIII) of 13 March 1959 granted La Republique du Cameroun independence on January 1, 1960 with a well-defined map, currency, language, anthem and flag. Article 1 of the Constitution of La Republique du Cameroun of 04/03/1960 and which was endorsed by the then Secretary General of the United Nations, His Excellency Dag, provided that the flag would bear three colours; green, red and yellow without a star in the red colour.

Thereafter, UN Resolution 1476(XV) of September 20, 1960, admitted La Republique du Cameroun as a member state of the UN. By dint of this admission, La Republique du Cameroun had subjected herself to the strict respect of the Charter of the UNO and all its resolutions.

Ironically, rather than exploit the same token of Resolution 1514(XV), the UN elected draft Resolution 1352(XIV) of 16 October 1959, which instead recommended a plebiscite be held between 30 September 1960 and March 1961 in the then British Southern Cameroons.

The purpose of the plebiscite was to prepare the populations of the then Southern Cameroons to vote on the 11 February 1961 to achieve independence by joining the already independent La Republique du Cameroun.

On April 21, 1961, the UN General Assembly adopted Resolution 1608(XV) on the future of the Trust Territory of the British Southern Cameroons, and one of the resolutions in paragraphs 4 and 5 reads thus; [The UN General Assembly] “Invites the Administering Authority, the Government of the Southern Cameroons and the Republic of Cameroun to initiate urgent discussions with a view to finalizing, before October 1, 1961, the arrangements by which the agreed and declared policies of the parties concerned will be implemented”.

But without much ado, late President Amadou Ahidjo sidestepped the UN Resolution 1608 and went further to disregard the provisions of Article 102 of the Charter of the UNO at the failed Foumban Conference. Thereafter, it was a rough ride for Anglophones.

Sting of Discrimination

More than 50 years after, Anglophone Cameroonians feel the sting of discrimination in subtle ways. Anti-Anglophone State activity in the form of marginalisation, harassment, violence, intimidation and erosion of the inherited Anglophone culture continue to occur across the nation.

For instance, while the State of Cameroon readily snaps up young and old Francophones for employment and promotions, ascent to the upper ranks of administration or management for Anglophone is rare. Now, Anglophone Common Law lawyers fear a complete eradication of their juridico-cultural system. “Our juridico-cultural system has experienced a mischievously programmed, and sustained erosion to the present point of near extinction,” say the lawyers in a declaration drafted after a recent conference attended by over 600 Common Law lawyers in Buea.

The lawyers say “this predicament arises unequivocally, from the non-implementation of United Nations Resolution 1608 (XV) of the 21/4/1961 on the future of the Trust Territory of the Cameroons under the United Kingdom’s Administration and the dishonest manipulation of Southern/West Cameroonians into an illegal Union…”

According to the lawyers, they have hit the wall and they are going to fight tooth and nail to protect the juridico-cultural system.

“We commit ourselves resolutely to seek by every legal means a correction of the source of endangerment of our Common law juridico-legal cultural heritage through invocation and strict implementation of United Nations resolution 1608 (XV),” the lawyers state in their declaration.

In this vein, they call on Her Majesty the Queen of United Kingdom and the Secretary General of the United Nations to proceed with overseeing the implementation of Resolution 1608(XV). Amongst others, the lawyers cite and quote an exchange between the UK Ambassador, C.E King, and President Ahmadou Ahidjo, which rubbished and totally violated the Trusteeship Agreement and the Charter of the United Nations.

Quote the lawyers, “With a mere exchange of notes between Her Majesty’s Ambassador at Yaounde, C.E. King, and Mr. Ahmadou Ahidjo, recording the time and date of the termination of United Kingdom trusteeship in the Southern Cameroons, the 13/12/1946 Trusteeship Agreement was terminated…” The said exchange of notes read thus:

British Embassy, YAOUNDE 27 September 1961

Sir, On the instruction of my Government and in compliance with resolution 1608(XV) of the General Assembly of the United Nations, dated 21 April 1961, providing that the trusteeship exercised by the United Kingdom in the Southern Cameroons under the Trusteeship Agreement of 13 December 1946 shall be terminated on 1 October 1961 upon the Southern Cameroons joining the Republic of Cameroun, I have the honour to inform you that this trusteeship will cease to be exercised in the Southern Cameroons at midnight on 30 September 1961, as this Territory will join the Republic of Cameroun at 00.00 hours on 1 October 1961. I have the honour to be, etc. (Signed) C.E KING Her Majesty’s Ambassador

His Excellency, Mr. Ahmadou AHIDJO, President of the Republic of Cameroun, Yaounde

REPUBLIC OF CAMEROUN Yaounde 27 September 1961 The President of the Republic Sir, I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of your letter of today’s date in which you informed me as follows; “On the instruction of my Government and in compliance with resolution 1608(XV) of the General Assembly of the United Nations, dated 21 April 1961, providing that the trusteeship exercised by the United Kingdom in the Southern Cameroons under the Trusteeship Agreement of 13 December 1946 shall be terminated on 1 October 1961 upon the Southern Cameroons joining the Republic of Cameroun, I have the honour to inform you that this trusteeship will cease to be exercised in the Southern Cameroons at midnight on 30 September 1961, as this Territory will join the Republic of Cameroun at 00.00 hours on 1 October 1961”. I note that, in accordance with the aforesaid resolution, the Southern Cameroons will join the Republic of Cameroun on 1 October 1961 and that, in consequence, the United Kingdom trusteeship over this territory will cease to be exercised at midnight on 30 September 1961. I have the honour to be, etc. (signed) A. By these notes, the British Southern Cameroons had been thrown to the wolves. This and other hostile happenings have caused the Common Law lawyers to forward their declaration to the powers that be with the following conclusion; “La Republique du Cameroun therefore has no legal justification to administer the former Southern Cameroons. We shall be most grateful if you can cause your hierarchy to take appropriate measures to enforce the Buea Declaration referred to herein, a copy of which is hereto attached.”

Babysitter gets 23 years prison for killing three-month-old baby girl

A babysitter, Sarah Gumm, 33, has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for killing a three-month-old baby girl in her care. Gumm pleaded guilty to murdering Rylan Koopmeiners in Waukegan, Illinois, after the baby died of a skull fracture and cranial hemorrhage.

Gumm was trying to change Rylan's diaper and became frustrated when the little girl began squirming around. She slammed the baby's head on a wooden table, prosecutors said shortly after Rylan's death in July 2012.

Gumm cried in court today as she pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree murder and accepted a plea bargain, the Daily Herald reported.

She will serve her sentence at the Illinois Department of Corrections and will receive credit for the 1,299 days she has spent in Lake County Jail since her arrest.

'Sarah took this deal, not because she was guilty, but because she couldn't find a way to win if it went to trial,' her husband James Gumm told the Daily Herald. 'Sarah is not a murderer.'

 

An autopsy revealed that 'an extreme amount of force' must have been used to cause Rylan's injuries, Lake County Assistant State’s Attorney Ari Fisz said at the time of her death.

 

Rylan’s parents, Nathan and Reggan Koopmeiners, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, dropped their daughter off at Gumm’s home in Waukegan at about 6:45am on July 27, 2012.

At about 4:30pm, Gumm called the police and reported that the little girl was not breathing. Rylan was rushed to Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan, where she was pronounced dead shortly after 5 pm.

 

Gumm had initially told police that the three-month-old had been sleeping when she heard a ‘gurgling noise’ and noticed that the baby seemed to be in distress, prompting her to call 911.

 

While Gumm told investigators that she was home all day, one of her neighbors spotted the 33-year-old woman leaving alone in a taxi that afternoon.

 

Fisz also said that authorities discovered that Gumm used her credit card twice at a local drugstore that day before calling police.

 

During a second interview with the police, Gumm allegedly admitted to going to the pharmacy and leaving the baby unsupervised at home. Fisw said Gumm then admitted to causing the baby’s injuries.

‘She also told police that later in the afternoon the baby was getting very fussy and squirming around while she was trying to change her on a wooden table,’ Fisz said. ‘She was holding the child up above the table. She got frustrated.’

Rylan's parents hired Gumm six weeks prior to the tragic incident after seeing an advertisement for her services online.

They were present for the plea announcement and thanked the prosecution team in a statement read in court, the Chicago Tribune reported.

 'We are grateful to God some form of earthly justice has been served for Rylan,' they said. 'To Rylan, we love you every moment of the day, baby girl.'

Khloe Kardashian reveals she hasn't ruled out remarrying Lamar Odom

Khloe Kardashian who took care of her estranged husband since he collapsed at a Nevada brothel last year following an alcohol and drugs binge said that while they are currently just friends, she isn't ruling anything out.

Speaking on an upcoming episode of her chat show Kocktails with Khloé, she said of remarrying the former NBA star: 'I mean, that would be like the best dream.'

Mum arrested for making no effort to save her 6 year old screaming daughter from house fire

A mother accused of making no effort to rescue her screaming six-year-old daughter from a house fire as she fled the blaze to save herself wept in court on Sunday.

Erica Rosello, 32, allegedly escaped the property in Miami on Thursday night as the blaze consumed her apartment - but left her daughter behind.

The fire is said to have taken hold of the home after Rosello poured water on an oil fire in the kitchen.

She became separated from her daughter and ran out of the apartment before allegedly flagging down a car and asking the driver to take her to a friend's house, WSVN reported.

Firefighters were called to the apartment and were able to break through a window to rescue the girl, who was unconscious from smoke inhalation.

She was taken to Nicklaus Children's Hospital but has since been released and is expected to make a full recovery.

Meanwhile Rosello, who by this time was said to be at her friend's house, called her mother, Angelica Tabio. 

Ms Tabio said:

'When her friend calmed her down - that friend has my phone number - he called me, and the first thing she told me was, '"Mom, she is dead."'

The grandmother said she replied:

'"What do you mean she is dead? No, she is here in the hospital."'

 

Rosello later arrived at the hospital, where she was arrested.

 

A man who features prominently on Rosello's Facebook page and appears to be her boyfriend is a firefighter. The identity of the girl's father is not known.

Rosello is charged with child neglect and is not allowed to contact her daughter, who is now in the custody of Ms Tabio, her Grand mother.

Rosello wept in court on Sunday as she was told she could not see her daughter. She posted a $7,500 bond and is being held under house arrest.

 

Ms Tabio told the news station that Rosello loves her daughter but suffered from postpartum depression. She also thanked firefighters for saving her granddaughter's life. 

 

Firefighters involved in the rescue of the six-year-old told CBS Miami about the moment they smashed a window and carried her to safety.

 

Miami-Dade firefighter David Arrencibia said he could hear the girl crying when he arrived at the home.

'The bed was literally two feet from the window and I happened to see the little girl,' he said.

Realizing there was no time to wait for a ladder, he smashed a window and got his partner to lift him inside.

'I could tell she was unconscious. I picked her up, turned around and took her out the window,' he said. 

'I feel accomplished. I’m grateful that the situation was such that we were able to get her out as quickly as we did. Had we taken another three, four minutes the outcome would have been different.'

Teenage girl who was thought dead squeezes her mom's hand as her organs were about to be harvested

When a lifeless 14-year-old girl shot during the crazy Uber driver in the Kalamazoo rampage was brought into hospital, doctors immediately thought she was dead.

Police announced the teenager was the seventh victim of the horrific shooting spree on Sunday night while hospital staff got ready to harvest her organs.

But as her mother stood next to her, for what she thought would be the last time, the youngster suddenly squeezed her hand.

The girl, who has been referred to only as A.K in court documents, was then rushed into surgery at Bronson Hospital in Michigan.

 

As of Monday morning, she was still fighting for her life.

She was hit by bullets allegedly fired by Jason Dalton , a crazy Uber driver on Saturday night while she sat in a car in the parking lot of a Cracker Barrel.

The other four passengers - Mary Lou Nye, 63, Mary Jo Nye, 60, Dorothy Brown, 74, and Barbara Hawthorne, 68 - were all killed.The teenager was rushed to hospital with injuries so severe, doctors believed she hadn't made it. 

When her parents arrived, doctors told them she was brain dead. Around two hours after that, she was getting ready for surgery when she incredibly showed signs of life.  

Michigan State Police First Lt. Dale Hinz described the moment the girl showed signs of life.

 

He told Michigan Live: 'The only word to describe it is wow. It's absolutely a miracle that she's alive and we're definitely hopeful for her continued improvement.

The Gov told reporters: 'She’s got all our thoughts and prayers to have a chance to come back. So it’s going to be quite a recovery period.'

 

Father-of-two Dalton surrendered to police on Sunday morning after he allegedly fired a barrage of 30 bullets at eight innocent and defenseless people during a five-hour rampage.

It was later revealed he was an Uber driver who was picking up and dropping off passengers in between his shooting sprees.

Wizkid Shades Linda Ikeji Again – “Almost 40, Lonely And Bitter” (Photo)

Late last year, Linda did a report that the management of American Univerisity in Yola Adamawa paid Wizkid 8 million Naira to come and perform and Wiz Kid did not show up.
In fairness to Linda, somebody tagged her to the report on Twitter but she did not hear WizKid’s own side of the story before going to press.

The report later turned out to be false as the school management debunked the report.

WizKid did not take kindly to that false report, he insulted the Blogger’s family and herself too on his Twitter page.

Last month, Linda was the first blogger in the land to break the story of the arrival of Wizkid new baby from her American baby mama, a report that Wiz Kid did not acknowledge nor deny.

On Sunday, Wizkid took the fight further by tweeting a link to an article about Linda Ikeji that addresses Linda Ikeji’s “poverty mentality”, captioning it “nice read”.

The article addresses Linda’s ‘poverty mentality’, which is what the writer chooses to call Linda’s obsession with reminding people that she is wealthy.

And in similar fashion, her fans followed suit in informing Wizkid that Linda was ‘richer’ than him.
“@wizkidayo @theNETng lol all ur earnings till u resign from music won’t get u up to her level. ��go to school first of all and get educated,” one Twitter user announced.

Yesterday afternoon, Linda Ikeji subtly shaded the singer using another article. In an article where rapper, The Game, stood up for his baby mama against an internet troll. She titled the article, “When Your Baby Daddy Is Not A ‘Deadbeat’…”.
This is in reference to an interview of Wizkid’s Baby Mama where his baby mama specifically called him a ‘deadbeat’.

Linda Ikeji further wrote in her article on The Game, “The Game swiftly responded, (unlike a deadbeat father who hasn’t started to cater for his child)”

The Ojuelegba crooner took to his snapchat account few hours ago to post this: “Almost 40, Lonely And Bitter” with the photo of the blogger to drive home his message.

Well, they said 2016 is going to be a year of drama so we are waiting.
