3 year old Missouri boy found dead in van after overnight search

Police found a 3-year-old Missouri boy dead inside a van Wednesday morning, hours after his mysterious disappearance sparked a massive overnight search.

Officers found the body of Titus Greyson Tackett covered inside the abandoned car off a highway, about a mile from his family’s house, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. A cause of death has not been announced, and police have not said who owned the van.

Titus’ grandparents were baby-sitting him when he vanished from his home in Arcadia, a town of about 600 people about 90 miles south of St. Louis, his family said. He stepped outside of his home, wearing only a diaper, and somehow wandered away after midnight.

 

When Titus when missing, his mother, Amber Tackett, was visiting her ex-boyfriend, police said.

“They were apparently trying to patch things up,” Iron County Sheriff Roger Medley told reporters.

“After returning from town, one of the family members came in and noticed the door open and they began looking for the child.”

The sheriff’s department, highway patrol and FBI scoured for the boy through the morning hours, along with about 50 volunteers, until a civilian made the grim discovery in the van around 11 a.m.

“We had an unbelievable turnout of people that wanted to come and search,” Medley said.

“We very much appreciate that. It’s a tragedy that he wasn’t located earlier.”

Police have made no arrests and named no suspects. An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday, but no information about it has been released. The Iron County Coroner did not immediately return requests for comment.

Cleveland mayor apologizes for Tamir Rice ambulance claim

The city of Cleveland apologized on Thursday for its role in preparing a $500 ambulance services claim against the estate of 12-year-old Tamir Rice, who was fatally shot by police in November 2014, and said it was withdrawing the demand.

Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson said the city gave the claim to the estate's executor out of legal obligation because he asked for it. A lawyer for the Rice family said the executor had made a routine public records request that should not have generated such a claim.

City officials said they did not and never intended to send a bill to the Rice family. "Again, apologizing to the Rice family if in fact this has added to any grief or pain that they may have," Jackson told reporters at a news conference on Thursday.

Rice, a black child who was playing with a replica gun in a park, was shot by a white police officer. The child's death helped fuel the national debate over police use of deadly force, especially against minorities.

After the Rice killing, a U.S. Justice Department investigation found widespread excessive use of force by Cleveland police. The next day, the Rice family filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the city and officers involved.

Jackson said the ambulance expense should never have arisen but that the city was just following normal procedure.

"Should it have happened? No," he said, "because red flags should have been risen. But that didn't happen. Did anybody do anything wrong in this? No, because it's the normal process."

The invoice, dated Wednesday, is for Rice's "last dying expense" and includes $450 for an ambulance and $50 for mileage, according to city documents.

 

The claim had yet to be filed with Cuyahoga County probate court, court officials said on Thursday.

"This was a deeply disturbing incident," Rice family attorney Subodh Chandra said in a statement. He said the claim made no sense to the family. "This adds insult to homicide."

 

Rice was shot by police officer Timothy Loehmann, who was responding to a report of a person with a gun in a park. Rice died the next day.

A grand jury in December declined to bring criminal charges against white officers Loehmann and Frank Garmback.

Woman walks into police station to report rape attack holding suspect's sex organ

A 32 year old woman walked into a police station claiming to have been raped - clutching her alleged attackers pen*s. The woman told officers she had been repeatedly raped by her brother-in-law for days.
She alleged on the final occasion, she faked consent and sliced off his genitals with a sickle, the Times of India reported.

She presented stunned authorities with the bloodied organ claiming it was the only way she could stop the attacks .
 
Police rushed to a house in the Churhat area in Sidhi district at around 6am on Thursday.

But before any medical help could be administered, they found the suspect had committed suicide.
The woman told officers her husband works in Nashik and she was living with her-brother-in-law.

"When he forced himself on me, I faked consent and severed his privates with a sickle," she reportedly told police.

The man's body was found hanging from a tree near the house. The woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Sidhi SP Abid Khan told the paper: "This is a rare case and has to be investigated for a proper charge sheet."
Police said the woman is mentally stable and has no regrets to what she has done.

Photo: Woman attacked and mauled to death by pit bulls

Suraya Chantell Pillay endured an excruciating death after she was savagely mauled to death by Pit Bull terriers in the early hours of Saturday, February 6, near a local drug den off Rucklen Place, South Africa. The 30-year-old from Oakbridge sustained deep wounds to her neck, chest and arms and deep lacerations to the bone on both her legs. 

The Phoenix Sun made contact with her bereaved family and spoke to her sister, Angel Pillay.

"She was good person and even though she had a drug habit, she would work by doing odd jobs to support it. She was a very generous and kind person."

The deceased had allegedly been an addict for at least seven years and was known to frequent the area where her body was found. According to members of her family, she stopped going there for a few months and only recently returned- and they are not sure why.

Pillay would leave the house in the morning and always returned at night by 9pm and seldom at midnight, but never after. The family are at a loss to understand why she would have stayed out after the curfew that she had kept in recent months.

Witness reports at the scene of the incident have been confusing and conflicted. According to South Africa Police Service (SAPS), a witness called the police after they heard a woman scream and they managed to chase the dogs away. Phoenix communication office said:

"The witnesses claim that they discovered the victim being attacked by several dogs that only left the victim alone after stones were thrown at them. The dogs are currently unidentified and no witnesses have come forward to identify the dogs or the owner."

A witness who claimed to have been present at the scene alleges that the victim was completely naked, except for a brown cloth covering her private area. This fact is extremely significant to her sister who says that Suraya left the house that morning wearing blue jeans and a long sleeved black top- which has not been located.

The family claim to have received mixed versions of what took place on the night their sister died. There are still many unanswered questions and the identity of the dog and the owner is yet to be confirmed. Ms Pillay said,

"We hope that people who know who is responsible will come forward and name the pet owner responsible for this. My sister did not deserve to die this way." Ms Pillay said.

There have been no arrests or charges laid.

Grandson shoots and decapitates his grandparents in their home

See the way he's smiling in his mugshot. A young man in Oklahoma has been arrested after allegedly shooting and then decapitating his grandmother and her husband. Quinton Dashawn Laster, 20, is facing two complaints of first-degree murder for the death of 59-Sharon Reed and 78-year-old James Earl Reed who were found in their Oklahoma City home.

The two own and operate a day care out of their home, and three children were also found when police discovered the bodies.

They had not been harmed or hurt.

NBC 4 reports that the children, whose ages have not been released, were found in the garage area of the home and have been safely returned to their families.

Police arrived on the scene Tuesday afternoon after they received a call from a neighbor to check on the welfare of the couple.

Laster was outside the home when they arrived and he was taken into custody.

Gerald Lyon, who lived next door to the couple, told Fox 25 that Laster came to his door shortly before 2pm on Tuesday.

'I said "What is it?" and he said, "Somebody killed my grandma,"' said Lyon, who noticed that the young man had a gun.

'I said, "Well you need to call 911 if you've done that," and he said, "I'm thinking about it." I said, "Thinking about it? You need to do it."'

Laster then returned to the home, at which point Lyon called 911, noting the boy did not seem violent but 'frightened.'

Family members said Reed had been running the daycare out of her home for 20 years.

Kendall Jenner sues skincare company for $10m for using her face without permission

The 20 year old model is suing a skincare company called Cutera for $10milion with claims that they used her face and name to advertise their Laser acne treatment taking without her permission.

The advert in question features a photo of Kendall and claims their products and treatments improved her skin. The ad reads - "Acne "completely ruined" Kendall Jenner's self esteem"

TMZ reports that the documents in the lawsuit points out Kendall has been on the cover of fashion magazines around the world, and would typically earn at least eight figures to pose as the face of a product. It also stated that for such an endorsement, she will charge nothing less than $10 million  so she wants the company to hand over it's profits from the advert which better total at least $10million.

Kendall's lawyer Todd Wilson says,

"The right to associate Kendall Jenner's name and likeness in connection with a product or service belongs solely to Kendall Jenner and is protected by Federal and State law. Today's lawsuit by Ms. Jenner against Cutera, Inc., for the unauthorized use of Ms. Jenner's name and likeness to promote its product should serve notice that Ms. Jenner will vigorously defend her rights under the law."

The young man has lost over half of his weight with a focused hospital fitness routine, and he is on track to lose more through his health program.

In 2014, Dr. Aa’ed al-Qahtani, the head of Shaeri’s medical team,told Sayidaty magazine that Shaeri’s muscle strength and heart and lung function had all improved, and his inflammation was down.

A custom wheelchair helped him start to become more mobile, and Shaeri, once called the ‘world’s heaviest teenager’ built up slowly to the proud moments on the video.

Doctors say he is now more cheerful, happy and lively compared to how he was before he was admitted.
