The Queen of Bhutan shows off her baby bump for the first time

King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, 35, and his 25-year-old wife Jetsun Pema have released a loving shot of themselves cradling Jetson's belly while lounging in the grounds at the Paro Ugyen Pelri Palace.

The photo, which also appears in the official calendars released by the Bhutanese government, shows Jetsun heavily pregnant, as she is due next month.

'I'm deeply pleased to announce that Jetsun and I look forward to the birth of our son,' the King said in a statement, in mid-November. 

He added:

'I consider my son extremely fortunate, because he will be born in our blessed country. We owe our good fortune, our peace, prosperity, and security to His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.' 

The Himalayan monarch is officially referred to as the Druk Gyalpo, or Dragon King, because Bhutan translates to 'Land of the Dragons'.

The current king and soon-to-be-dad ascended the throne in 2006 at the tender age of 26, after his father, King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, abdicated so that he could take his place. 

 

The progressive former King also introduced democracy to the country. Unlike his son, who plans to have a monogamous marriage, the former King has four wives - all sisters who he married on the same day.

On October 13, 2011, the new King married the Dragon Queen, who at the time was an international relations student at Regent's College in London.

Man arrested for raping five-year-old boy

22-year-old Ganiu Amusa, was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command on Sunday for allegedly raping a five-year-old boy, in the Alakuko area of the state.

It was gathered that Thompson, who lived with his family on Oremeji Street, had complained about pains in his anus when his mother, Adenike Ejigbo, gave him a bath.

The boy was said to have tod his mum that Amusa had lured him to a place where he (Amusa) allegedly penetrated his anus. The mother was said to have raised the alarm and reported the matter at the Alakuko Police Division. But the case had been transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba, on Monday for further investigation.

A police source said that the suspect had confessed to the crime.

He said:

“The boy had been complaining about pains in his anus to his mother. He had been having pains since the day the suspect penetrated his anus. That was how the mother reported the matter at the police station.

“The suspect did not deny the incident. He is blaming the devil. But the matter has been transferred to the SDCI, Yaba.”

The Lagos State Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Aliyu Giwa, confirmed the arrest.

The grandfather of a boy soldier - dubbed 'Jihadi Junior' - who appears in a new ISIS execution video has begged his notorious British jihadi daughter to bring him home.
22 year old Grace , of Christian and Nigerian descent left her London home in 2012 to enter into an arranged marriage and live in Syria with her husband.

Mr Dare told Channel 4 News he had reported her to the police on three occasions before she left for Syria, telling them:

"She's behaving in a very funny way". "They told me she's free," he added. "They said she's above 18."

Footage released online on Monday showed a masked Briton carrying out the brutal murder of five men he accuses of spying for the UK.
The horror clip ends with a child thought to be from the UK hailing the deaths, saying: "We will kill the Kuffar (unbelievers) over there".
Now, Sunday Dare, 59, is begging  Grace, known as 'Khadijah', to bring the boy home.

Mr Dare told the Sun:

"Grace, Grace, come home with my grandchildren. "Come home, we love you, come and face the music. You caused it yourself, you've got to face the music."

She achieved celebrity status in Islamic State after vowing to become the first female Islamic State fanatic to behead a British or US hostage.
In a video unearthed by The Mirror in 2014, burka-clad Dare fired an AK-47 rifle and pleaded with fellow Brits to fight by her side in Syria.

A security source said at the time:

"The threat Dare poses is immense. "Her notoriety has evolved so rapidly that she has achieved a celebrity like status among jihadists fighting in Syria and those who are thinking of travelling abroad to join IS."

"The threat from homegrown would-be terrorists such as her is very great. Dare has now become a top priority."

On her Twitter account - which has since been taken down - Dare posted pictures of her four-year-old son holding a machine gun.
The boy would be roughly the same age and shares similar features to the child wearing military fatigues and an ISIS bandana in the new video.

Since being exposed as Tyga’s side chick, the young 14 year old has hired famous celebrity lawyer, Gloria Allred, to represent her, and has not ruled out the possibility of taking legal action against both Tyga and the magazine that exposed her relationship to him.

Allred said in a statement that Molly “
feels that she needs to speak out and so does her mom, people need to be accountable.” The young girl stepped forward in a press conference in Monday to share her account of the story.
According to Molly and Allred, the young teenager’s relationship to Tyga has been completely digital, as they have not met in person. Tyga apparently contacted the girl after seeing her photos on Instagram, and Allred maintains that the rapper was not aware of Molly’s age at the time.

Swiss billionaire Margarita Louis-Dreyfus has announced she is pregnant with her second set of twins.

The 53-year-old chairwoman of French conglomerate Louis Dreyfus Commodities and widow of French businessman Robert Louis-Dreyfus is expecting twin girls in early April. Margarita and Robert, who married in 1992 had three sons, Eric and twins Kyril and Maurice, before he died of leukemia in 2009.

The expectant mother is currently dating Swiss banker Philipp Hildebrand, 52, the vice chairman of US investment manager BlackRock, however she has not confirmed or not he is the father of her unborn children.

In a statement made via her company, Margarita confirmed that she plans on continuing her duties as non-executive chairwoman until the birth, before taking a brief maternity leave and returning to work full time in late April. 

The Russian-born businesswoman gained Swiss nationality through her first marriage before she met Robert in 1988 on a flight to London from Zurich.

Margarita, who was working as a circuit-board-equipment seller when they wed, became a full time wife and mother. However, before his death, Robert set up a family trust called Akira BV to hold his majority stake in the privately held, Amsterdam-based company, naming Margarita the family trustee.

Govt confirms outbreak of Lassa fever In Taraba State, 1 confirmed dead

Taraba State government has confirmed the outbreak of Lassa fever, a deadly viral disease, in the state. Lassa fever is transmitted by infected rodents. The state Commissioner of Health, Innocent Vakkai in an interview with journalists over the weekend said;

"One person died and two others quarantined and their blood samples have already been taken to Irrua Specialists Hospital in Edo State for further confirmation."

Speaking on how the viral disease is contacted, Vakkai said

"People usually get infected with the Lassa Virus after exposure to infected rodents, while person to person transmission occurs through direct contact with the sick person."

He said precautionary measures include putting food in rodent proof containers and wearing protections such as masks, gloves, gowns among others.
