Last week, Sage The Gemini took to social media to beg singer Jordin Spark to give him another chance. Well, he may not be as in love with her as he wanted us to believe. The ex claims she and Sage, real name Dominic Wynn Woods, were working on rebuilding their relationship last year when Sage started seeing Jordin. She claims through out the time he was with Jordin, he was always begging her to give them another chance.

CAMEROON GOVERNMENT FINALLY SENDS DELEGATION TO KUWAIT, LEBANON , UAE...

Government, after almost a year of expectations, following reports of abuses on Cameroonian girls , has finally sent a delegation of officials to the Middle East.

The Minister Delegate at the Ministry of External Relations, MINREX, in Charge of Islamic Affairs, Adoum Gargoum and his team arrived in Lebanon, Sunday February 21 2016.

A group of Cameroonian girls welcomed the delegation with national anthem,after which the Minister told them he was on behest of President Paul Biya.

“We just arrived (Lebanon) and there are members of my delegation who are not yet there. They would arrive later in the evening or tomorrow morning. I will have a working session with you(the girls) tomorrow (February 22) during which we would discuss freely about everything.

 I am here to represent the President who asked me to come and meet you .…We would have time to talk. I don’t know whether it would be with everybody, but organize yourselves, ” said Minister Adoum Gargoum  to the ladies who in chorus sang praises to Head of State Paul Biya.

Sources at MINREX hinted that  Minister Adoum Gargoum’s delegation would be in Kuwait on Thursday February 25, United Arab Emirates on Monday February 29 and on Wednesday March 2 in Quatar.

Though the objectives of the visit of the MINREX delegation is not yet clear, there are expectations that the government would help repatriate the more than 50 Cameroonians who are the Kuwaiti government shelter. It is also expected that working partnerships with the different governments are finalized and some diplomatic relationships renewed and consolidated.

SOME GIRLS HAD ABANDONED SHELTER…

After waiting for up to eight months some more than 5 ladies are reported to have abandoned the Kuwaiti government shelter.

“The girls left after complaining  that they cannot count on the Cameroon government which can cause  them wait indefinitely,” said one of the suspected victims of human trafficking (VoT)who has been at the shelter for almost seven months. 

It was also unconfirmed if the ladies who abandoned the shelter had returned given that their phones were not going through as at Thursday,” alleged one other VoT.

 “We are waiting for the government to help us return  home. Some of us have been sick for months here.  We do hope they do not come to ask us to fill forms again. Some of us at this government shelter have already given up and need concrete action. Kuwait is where there is really a big problem, not yet in Lebanon. They ought have started from here(Kuwait), ” said one of them.

Mohmamed El Zarkani, Programme Manager in the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Kuwait had suggested to the Cameroon government the creation of an embassy in Kuwait and  awareness campaigns in areas in the home country where traffickers are active.

Rob Kardashian buys a $2.28mil home in Calabasas

According to reports Robert Kardashian bought a 4,256 sq. ft 4 bedroom home for $2.285 million in Calabasas within the gated Oaks neighborhood with the help of his mum,  Kris Jenner who helped out with the purchase, which is under the family trust, and it closed a week ago.

Plane with at least 21 people on board missing in mountainous area of Nepal

A small plane with 21 people on board has gone missing. This happened while flying in a mountainous area in Nepal. The plane lost contact after taking off from Pokhara - a resort town west of Kathmandu. According to officials, it was heading north to Jomsom - the starting point for trekkers going into the mountains. Details to Come.

Indian village bans unmarried women from having cell phones

A village in India imposed a ban on unmarried women and minor girls from owning cell phones.
Women found in violation of this ban will be fined about $30 while the person who reported the offense will receive a reward of almost $3.

"Why do girls need cell phone? Internet is a waste of time and money for a middle-class community like us. Girls should better utilise their time for study and other works," village leader Devshi Vankar told Hindustan Times.

Villagers in Suraj reportedly agreed with the decision, as cell phones were viewed as tools used by young people to leave their homes and elope.

Girls are allowed to use cell phones at home with the supervision of their parents and women attending college are completely exempt from the ban.

"College girls are mature enough to differentiate between good and bad. Further, they also need mobile phone to stay connected with their parents as colleges are located in nearby cities not in our village," Vankar told the Indian Express.

Vankar said banning young girls from using mobile phones would protect them from being distracted in class and being harassed by men on messaging apps.

"Everyone knows what happens in today's world due to mobile phones. This is Kalyug. This is an era of Whatsapp, where people secretly talk with each other. We have to save girls from those who acquire their number and harass them or try to lure these innocent girls," he said.

Bow Wow and Dr Phil give their opinion on Kanye West's Twitter rants

Kanye West has been making headlines recently with his tweets. From saying he'll win 100 grammys in his lifetime to asking Mark Zuckerberg for a $1b investment in his ideas, to bashing sister-in-law for signing a deal with Puma and beefing Wiz Khalifa. In a recent appearance on The Late Show with James Corden, US TV personality, and psychologist, Dr Phil said that West's antics reflect what's going on in the society.

"Everybody thinks stuff sometimes," Dr Phil said. "You’ll think stuff and it’s like really stupid. But we’re in a society now, we’re in a generation now where everybody thinks you’ve got to have an audience for everything."

Dr. Phil uses the example of someone posting about brushing his teeth as information that does not need to be shared with the world, but has become acceptable this age.

"We’re so narcissistic now, everybody’s like doing selfies of themselves brushing their teeth," he says. "I don’t care. But everybody has it posted up. So now, everybody they just have to post everything, post everything, post everything like nobody cares. But now, you say something incredibly stupid it just goes wall to wall. They’re reading it in China in five seconds. So it just goes all over the place. You used to be stupid and get away with it. You can't be wrong that many times in a row unless you're working at it," Dr. Phil said. "He just gets up, says something [mimics typing] and so here we are talking about it, so it's working."

Another guest on the show, Bow Wow, didn't think there's anything wrong with the Chicago rapper's behavior.

"I think that he’s just an artist who’s very very passionate, like over passionate, about what he does," Bow Wow said. "I mean he’s begging guys for billions of dollars to invest in him. He’s like, ‘I have the next ideas. I wanna be the next big thing.’ I think we’re dealing with an artist who’s very passionate who believes in what he does, but he just might go about it in a different way."

Ajak Deng quits modelling

One of Australia's most successful international runway models, Ajak Deng, 26, today announced she has quit modeling because of 'fakes and lies' in the fashion industry.'

A 23-year-old man has been arrested for deliberately setting his car on fire. Dibba police received a report at 5:30pm on Tuesday, February 23 about a burning Mercedes Benz in Al Wurayah area, United Arab Emirates.

Civil Defence crews extinguished the blaze while investigations found the owner had purposefully set his car alight. The man was charged with arson and his case referred to public prosecution.

The "tampering of the country’s security and stability" will not be tolerated, Fujairah Police said, who urged the public to abide by UAE laws.

Johnson and Johnson ordered to pay $72 million for cancer death linked to talcum powder

Johnson & Johnson (JNJ.N) was ordered by a Missouri state jury to pay $72 million of damages to the family of a woman whose death from ovarian cancer was linked to her use of the company's talc-based Baby Powder and Shower to Shower for several decades.

In a verdict announced late Monday night, jurors in the circuit court of St. Louis awarded the family of Jacqueline Fox $10 million of actual damages and $62 million of punitive damages, according to the family's lawyers and court records.

The verdict is the first by a U.S. jury to award damages over the claims, the lawyers said.

Johnson & Johnson faces claims that it, in an effort to boost sales, failed for decades to warn consumers that its talc-based products could cause cancer. About 1,000 cases have been filed in Missouri state court, and another 200 in New Jersey.

Fox, who lived in Birmingham, Alabama, claimed she used Baby Powder and Shower to Shower for feminine hygiene for more than 35 years before being diagnosed three years ago with ovarian cancer. She died in October at age 62.

Jurors found Johnson & Johnson liable for fraud, negligence and conspiracy, the family's lawyers said. Deliberations lasted four hours, following a three-week trial.

Jere Beasley, a lawyer for Fox's family, said Johnson & Johnson "knew as far back as the 1980s of the risk," and yet resorted to "lying to the public, lying to the regulatory agencies." He spoke on a conference call with journalists.

 

Carol Goodrich, a Johnson & Johnson spokeswoman, said: "We have no higher responsibility than the health and safety of consumers, and we are disappointed with the outcome of the trial. We sympathize with the plaintiff's family but firmly believe the safety of cosmetic talc is supported by decades of scientific evidence."

 

Trials in several other talc lawsuits have been set for later this year, according to Danielle Mason, who also represented Fox's family at trial.

 

In October 2013, a federal jury in Sioux Falls, South Dakota found that plaintiff Deane Berg's use of Johnson & Johnson's body powder products was a factor in her developing ovarian cancer.

Nevertheless, it awarded no damages, court records show.

 

Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc (VRX.TO) now owns the Shower to Shower brand but was not a defendant in the Fox case.

The case is Hogans et al v. Johnson & Johnson et al, Circuit Court of the City of St. Louis, Missouri, No. 1422-CC09012.
