Janet Jackson & husband reportedly planning first baby via surrogate or adoption

Janet Jackson, 49, revealed a few weeks ago that she was postponing her tour to plan a family with her husband, and many wondered if she was pregnant. A family source has revealed that Janet won't actually be carrying the child.
 According to RadarOnline...

A source close to the Jackson family told RadarOnline.com exclusively that fans have nothing to fear. In fact, they have something to celebrate! According to a source, Jackson, 49, is getting ready to become a mom. “Janet has put her fans first her whole life. They are her world and, of course, she is devastated that she had to postpone the tour for another year,” the insider said. “But Janet’s health crisis this year really made her much more aware of her age,” the source told Radar. “She is approaching 50 and at this stage of her life all that she wants is to become a mother.”

According to the Jackson family insider, “Janet postponed her tour because she is going to be adopting a child or using a surrogate to have a baby in the next couple of months,” with billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana. “She is devoted to her husband and has decided to put his needs before her own needs right now,” the source added. “He really wants to start a family with her.”

Fan sues Kanye West, Tidal, over Life of Pablo album

Kanye West and streaming service Tidal have been sued by a fan for allegedly deceiving fans into subscribing to what was billed as the only place they would be able to hear West's new album, The Life of Pablo. The proposed class-action lawsuit, first obtained by the Pitchfork, claimed West falsely told fans the album would be exclusive to Tidal.

The lawsuit was filed today in a federal court in San Francisco on behalf of Justin Baker-Rhett, described in the complaint as a fan of West's music. Originally released via Tidal in February, Pablo became available on all major non-Tidal streaming services on March 31, landing at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The lawsuit claimed that millions signed up for Tidal because West promised it would be the exclusive place to hear his new album. Baker-Rhett requested a judge force Tidal to delete data on users who subscribed to hear Pablo. The lawsuit argued the new subscribers and their information could be worth up to $84 million. The lawsuit cites West's tweets, including one from February 15 that said the album will "never be on Apple" and "you can only get it on Tidal."

Jay Edelson, a lawyer for Baker-Rhett, told Pitchfork: "Mr. Baker-Rhett believes that superstars are required to follow the same rules as everyone else. Even if their streaming service is struggling, they can't trick millions of people into paying money (and giving up personal information) just to boost valuation numbers."

7-Year-Old Boy Hit and Killed by UN Ambassador's Motorcade in Cameroon

The motorcade carrying the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power, struck and killed a 7-year-old boy in northern Cameroon today, U.S. officials said. The boy darted out into the road when he was struck by an armored vehicle carrying U.S. officials.

According ABC News , he was apparently distracted by the helicopter flying over the convoy that was offering close aerial support, a U.S. official said. Power confirmed that the Cameroonian boy died of his injuries shortly after being hit. A spokesman for the ambassador said she was “devastated” to learn of the incident.

“We visited with the boy's family to offer our profound condolences and to express our grief and heartbreak with what the family is going through,” Power said in a statement.

The ambassador's delegation was accompanied by a number of journalists, including ABC News' Juju Chang.

Neither Power nor the journalists were in the car that struck the young boy.

The cars were traveling around 43 mph, a U.S. official said.

Power is in Cameroon to kick off a week-long trip focused on the war against the militant group Boko Haram that will also include stops in Chad and Nigeria.

After the accident, ABC News followed Power to a refugee camp where she met a girl who escaped after being forced married to a Boko Haram fighter.

While meeting with the girl, the ambassador became emotional.

"You're a 14-year-old girl in your village, these guys show up and say, 'Hey, I have a choice for you. I am going to kill you or you can marry me.' The quadruply sad part of it is -- it's clear she thinks she made a choice, that wasn't a choice," she said, getting choked up.

Today's accident happened at a time when the delegation that took pains to draw attention to the horrors inflicted on children facing violence from Boko Haram.

The ambassador’s trip also comes on the heels of the second anniversary of the Chibok girls' kidnapping.

Last week, UNICEF released a chilling report saying the abducted schoolgirls are being used with lethal effectiveness as suicide bombers.

There were 151 suicide attacks by Boko Haram in the region in 2015 alone, according to the report. One in five of those attacks were by children and 75 percent of them were conducted by girls.

Cameroon's Constitution to be revised in view of the holding of early Presidential election

Romour has been making rounds on the streets that President Paul Biya and his government are planing to call for early elections. The Emergence daily newspaper claims that there is more to the rumour as parliamentarians will soon be called to address the issue.

“According to a very influential member of the government who received us in his office around midnight last Friday, provisions have been made for the revision of the Constitution to happen in the month of May, unless last minute changes,” the newspaper said. About the day, “the exact date has not been clearly stated by our source who is very close to President Biya. This indicates that they are in the oven and the mill for this deadline to be held in “peace”. Also, it is assumed from our exchange with our source that “it will be in a special session that will be called by the President of the Republic Paul Biya“, Emergence daily newspaper reported on their in April 2016 edition.

Everybody Loves Raymond star dies at age 90

Doris Roberts, who was the meddling mother next door on Everybody Loves Raymond, has died at the age of 90, her representative confirmed.  Roberts, who won Emmys for best supporting actress in a comedy for playing Marie Barone, the mother of Ray Romano’s sportswriter character, in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2005, died on Sunday in Los Angeles.

 

In 1995, Roberts landed the part of Marie Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond, playing Ray’s mom and the husband of the cranky Frank (Peter Boyle). She was with the hit CBS sitcom for every one of the show’s nine seasons, covering 210 episodes.

Kim Jong-un bans jeans, lponytails and piercings in latest crackdown on Western fashion

North Koreans have now been banned from having piercings, while earrings are not banned, piercings on any other part of the body are to be prohibited, wearing jeans, having ponytails and some other 'western' fashion have all been banned as part of a crackdown on Western culture ahead of its annual workers' conference. They also check the length of skirts, the shape of shoes, Tshirts and hairstyles according to Asia Press

According to Ishimaru Jiro, a Japanese journalist working with citizen reporters inside North Korea, 'A growing number of North Korean people are infatuated with Western culture. The crackdown will continue until the end of the upcoming gathering (the 7th Congress).'

Kim Jong-un launched the crackdown focusing on areas close to China border where citizens have easier access to information - and cultural trends - from the outside world.

The ban was uncovered by citizen journalists at Rimjin-gang, a North Korean news website supported by AsiaPress.

The regime fiercely opposes Western culture in any form and has been known to send those guilty of what King anti-socialist" behaviour to its notorious labour camps. 

"A growing number of North Korean people are infatuated with Western culture," said Ishimaru Jiro, a Japanese reporter who works with citizen journalists inside the regime.

"The crackdown will continue until the end of the upcoming gathering," he added, referring to the upcoming 7th Congress of the Workers' Party.
It was also claimed that "inspection units," consisting of teenagers dedicated to leader Kim Jong-un, are prowling the streets for those who dare to break the dress code.
They are also required to have a particular hairstyle.
 
The North Korean Youth Union (NKYU) who consist of members who sign up once they reach the age of 15, also hunt for unmarried women doing business in marketplaces, as this is also forbidden.
Members of this Union are sworn to prevent "the corruption of public morals."

Chris said he was caught off guard. He continued:

 "My brain's like, 'How do we handle this?' I was like, 'Girls have breasts.' 'I don't want breasts!' I was like, 'OK. Um...' 

She goes, 'I really want one.' I was like, 'A penis?' She was like, 'I want a penis!'" he said. "I was like, 'Oh, OK. Um...'" After some thought, he said he decided now wasn't the best time to have that talk. "I was like, 'You know what? You can be whatever you want to be.' And she goes, 'Thanks, dad!' Runs off to the playground and that was it," he said. "I'll have to pick that conversation up in a few years time." 

Some twitter and other social media users think he shouldn't have told her that she could be whatever she wanted to be, adding that at 4 years old, he should have sat her down told she is a girl hence doesn't need an eggplant so as to avoid confusion in future. While others said he did the right thing.
