CNN labels Ali-Modu Sheriff as Boko Haram founder

Ali Modu Sheriff is a Nigerian politician. He is Borno State's first governor to serve two consecutive terms  from 2003 to 2011. Though Sheriff had held two elected offices as a member of All Nigeria People's Party, he would later join the All Progressives Congress becoming a founding member of the party. In 2014, Sheriff defected to the People's Democratic Party.  He is currently the PDP National Working Committee Chairman, having been confirmed by the National Executive Committee and sworn-in in February 2016.
